Index's raucous debut album Vis Inertiae arrives this Friday. The experimental hardcore duo has shared "Cellophane," "Fractured," and "Earth" so far, and now they're back with "Dissolve.""After years of playing music together, we felt stuck and weighed down by the past, even though we wanted to keep writing and playing," the band says. "That's what the album title references. The idea that forgetting is something you have to do with intention in order to move forward. Making this record became the way we did that. We wanted a space where we could explore elements of electronic music within the context of live instruments.
