Day 3 stayed largely dry, allowing India to bowl Sri Lanka out for 284 and take a 178-run first-innings lead. Galle is cloudy again this morning, so the weather remains a lurking subplot. But if the skies behave, Sri Lanka will have to bowl again as India return to the crease, looking to stretch their advantage and set up a sizeable target. The hosts will know they cannot afford another collapse with the ball. India, meanwhile, will want their batters to make Sri Lanka's spinners work hard after Manav Suthar and Ravindra Jadeja did the damage yesterday.
