Incoming Western New Mexico University president hopes to recruit and retain to ‘repair old wounds’
Jose Coll is set to take the helm at Western New Mexico University, a historic Hispanic-Serving Institution in Silver City, on July 1. His plans to recruit and retain students, work closely with a new faculty union and steer the public university through the remainder of the second Trump administration all play a part in repairing the university’s reputation, he said.
