Inbetweeners’ James Buckley’s wife Clair says he’s STILL boozing & going out despite doctor’s ban and health diagnosis

HE claimed to have quit booze for the sake of his health but James Buckley’s wife has revealed he is still drinking following his diagnosis. It comes as we revealed earlier today how he has been diagnosed with high lipoprotein(a), an inherited condition linked to cholesterol. Speaking on The Chris Moyles Show on Radio X, his wife Clair said: “He still drinks! James’s condition, which affects around one in five people, puts him at increased risk of cardiovascular problems because it can contribute to a build-up of plaque in the arteries. The TV star revealed his diagnosis on the couple’s podcast, The Buckleys, explaining that the condition was discovered after he was rushed to hospital suffering from severe dehydration. It’s something to do with my lipoprotein(a), something to do with that. “There’s nothing you can do about it, by the way. And the doctor’s just been like, ‘You need to change.’ “I’m not a religious man, but sometimes I feel like there is a God that sort of goes, ‘That’ll teach you.’ “I feel like I’ve been on this podcast slagging off people who don’t drink. ‘Yeah, we hate boring stuff.’” Most read in TV It comes as Netflix signed up James and his Inbetweeners castmates – Simon Bird, Joe Thomas and Blake Harrison to reprise their roles for a second film.
