Satheesan on Thursday (September 24, 2026) said that it was important to preserve the independence, transparency, and institutional safeguards of the Election Commission amidst allegations against CEC Gyanesh Kumar regarding the SIR process.Mr. Satheesan, in a post on X, said that voters need to have full confidence in the integrity of India’s electoral process.“It is important to preserve the independence, transparency, and institutional safeguards of the Election Commission, and to ensure that every voter can have full confidence in the integrity of India’s electoral process,” he said.He also shared an X post by Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi saying that “Vote chori is a crime against the Indian people and a direct attack on our constitution.
