I’m not backing down, blasts George Michael’s ‘cousin’ after lawyers demand he stop showing film of star or face court

GEORGE Michael’s childhood pal says he has been hit with a demand to stop showing footage of the singer by Friday or face crippling court action. Their families moved to Britain from Cyprus together in the 1950s and the pair called each other cousins. Most read in Showbiz Andros shot the footage as George prepared the Trojan Souls album. But George lost interest after partner Anselmo Feleppa died in 1993, plunging the star into depression. Legal firm Russells, acting for George’s estate, lodged the case at London’s Intellectual Property and Enterprise Court, claiming its rights have been breached. The firm was contacted for comment.
