‘I’m in survival mode’, Molly-Mae’s confessions about mum-of-2 life, from ‘traumatic’ parenting to ‘spaniel ear’ boobs

MOLLY-MAE Hague has opened up about the “savage” reality of becoming a mum for the second time. As she adjusts to life with a toddler and a baby, the former Love Islander and Maebe founder, 27, has with her classic candour described the most “traumatic” and “terrifying” moments. Living in Cheshire, they are also parents to Bambi, aged three-and-a-half. I don’t even know anymore. I’m just in absolute survival mode.” Molly said trolls pulled apart her fashion choices, but the mum is barely making it out of her PJs Credit: youtube/@mollymae9879 Molly-Mae is known for her absolute honesty on her YouTube channel Credit: youtube/@mollymae9879 Admitting she was “in the depths of it”, Molly said: “Someone posted (on Instagram) saying ‘your style’s become so vanilla, why do you dress like this?’ “I was like ‘I’m not being funny but if I make it out of my pajamas at the moment, it’s a really good day’.” Most read in Fabulous She added: “I’m not complaining… but it’s a lot. I feel like I’m showing a lot of ‘I’m coping and I’m good’. 100% I’m so blessed and so lucky, but this will be my last child! “I really hate complaining because I genuinely wake up every single day and count my lucky stars. “Sorry about the negative ending there, I don’t like doing that but you know me, I’m always going to keep it real.” Earlier in the same video, she revealed how Midas’ sleep schedule had fallen apart as he was in “so much pain”, “wired, upset and angry” from his reflux. I think I probably had about an hour’s sleep,” the knackered mum added of the night before. ‘Disaster’ day In another video, posted two weeks ago, Molly opened up about having “complete meltdown” – resulting in a seven-hour day in the car. The mum-of-two explained: “I literally put Bambi in the car for a three-hour journey, forgot to give her breakfast, forgot to pack lunch, forgot to give her even a bottle of water. “I could not bear the mother I was yesterday. I felt like a woman on the edge, so anxiety ridden.” The day was such a “disaster” that they decided to drive back home to Cheshire instead of staying over. “Bambi was a little angel, bless her,” Molly added. In the same clip, Molly admitted life was a “hot mess at the minute”. “I really feel like I forgot how much you live in fight or flight when you have a baby at this age. “Yesterday my hands were just shaking all day because I was so anxious. I’m really just trying to figure each day out.” ‘Boobs like two empty tea bags’ Molly sought Victoria’s Secret’s help for a boob problem Credit: youtube/@mollymae9879 Last week, Molly took to YouTube for a discussion that even she admitted was possibly “TMI”. “I really need to go underwear shopping… because my boobs are quite frankly, not the boobs of a 27-year-old female,” she said. “They’re like two empty tea bags… There’s me wondering why my boobs are getting saggier and saggier by the week, when I’m wearing bras that quite frankly have zero, and I mean zero, support in them.” Molly, who is a 34DDD-cup, says her boobs have “a lot of velocity” but “not a lot of plumpness”. “I describe my boobs as two spaniels’ ears. They’re that flat. My cleavage is like two straight lines,” she added. “My boobs are going to land themselves on the pavement if I don’t start working on picking them up a little bit more.” After driving to Manchester’s Trafford Centre for a Victoria’s Secret fitting, Molly got even more into the details. She said: “There’s a lot of spillage happening. Is this TMI? Basically when I hoist my boobs into the bra they sit over the top as there’s a lot of volume there. There’s not a lot of perkiness, but there’s a lot of breast.” Bambi struggles Among Molly’s chief concerns is how to care for two children solo, especially when Tommy’s travelling for work or to watch his brother, boxer Tyson Fury, fight abroad. She said: “I am terrified. The concept of having both of them at the same time is still something I’m getting used to. I’m doing it in small increments. I’ve really pulled in family members and people around me. “It really does terrify me and this sounds bad but if I can avoid doing it, I have been. Call me a bad parent but Midas is still brand new and needs 24/7 care.” As a solution, Molly arranged a Pizza Express meal with a friend and her kids – but admitted it didn’t go to plan. Headlocks were put in place, by her, not by me, it was bad. “We’re in the depths of it right now and I’m just really trying to keep my head above water basically.” A big source of mum guilt for Molly has been Bambi suddenly developing separation anxiety – making nursery difficult. Molly said: “It is so traumatic when we drop her off. We have to literally prise her off us and pass her over the teacher. Having all of this on top of a newborn who needs our undivided attention, we’re juggling over here.” Revealing life was “absolute carnage”, Molly said: “First of all I feel like a superhero, but it’s a bit savage isn’t it? We’re holding down the fort, just about.” Happily, Bambi seems to be adjusting now. In her most recent video, Molly said: “We’ve had a breakthrough because this morning was her first morning in about four months that she did not scream at the door of nursery and she actually went in with somewhat of a small smile on her face. “That has honestly been weighing super heavily on me, you do not want to see your child that upset ever, especially when you feel like you’re inflicting it.” She added: “I think she’s understanding now that nursery isn’t a punishment.” ‘I thought I was going to bleed out’ In a video from July, Molly said she had gone on the coil, as “the last thing we need right now is another pregnancy.” “I think I’m done (having kids) anyway,” she added. She said: “Tell everyone how you feel about me after seven amazing years” and Tommy replied: “I feel honoured, I feel privileged and I feel like the luckiest man on earth.” Molly and Tommy have now been together for 7 years, having met on Love Island Credit: youtube/@mollymae9879 The pair got back together in May 2025, after a months-long split owing to Tommy’s problems with alcohol abuse Credit: youtube/@mollymae9879 They recently enjoyed a family holiday together in Greece Credit: mollymae/Instagram But when asked “Do you feel in lurve?” he replied: “Er, it depends.” “I’m not going to lie, not really the answer I was looking for,” Molly said in response. In the same clip, she added: “What’s the deal with having two kids and then never being able to see your partner?” TikTok trolls Molly recently admitted she was “missing work so, so much” and “absolutely gagging to get back” to the Maebe office. “I don’t know if that makes me a terrible mum,” she said. “I don’t want to be selfish and go back to work too soon, but equally that is my sanity.” However, one aspect of work she has found more challenging is the social media side. She admitted she had been “epicly failing” at filming her regular weekly vlogs. Meanwhile posts on TikTok, which are much quicker to produce, come with their own challenges, thanks to online trolls. “I know a lot of you know I’ve avoided TikTok because of the comment section and how much it terrifies me. And how I stopped posting on there because the hate was just. “I feel like TikTok could sometimes be the new Twitter or X. You know where Twitter used to get really catty or nasty, I feel like that’s what TikTok became for me.” ‘Going crazy’ In her latest video, posted last night, Molly enjoyed some quality time in Dubai with Tommy as he joined her on a 48-hour work trip. Coming back on camera, she said: “Yesterday it was a bit of an interesting day with the naps. Honestly every day in this newborn life, although he’s not a newborn anymore, is just so up and down.” “It really is total pot luck,” she added. “I’m just going to have a chilled Sunday at home today, I’m hopefully going to not go crazy with the resettling, because I feel like I spend my life when I’m at home these days just in a dark room. “Some days I just feel like sacking the whole routine thing off and letting him be one of those babies that just sleeps when they need to sleep and becoming more of a wing-it mum. “But then I thought ‘that’s just my bad mood talking’. Routine is life for me. But we’ve been home for five seconds and I’m already talking about routines.” Comment now
