I'm an American living through the UK heat wave. My kids' school is canceled, and every room feels like a sauna.

The UK is currently grappling with an intense heatwave, and an American living there describes the challenges as even tougher than those faced in the southern US, where heatwaves are more common. Schools are canceling classes, and homes feel like saunas because neither British infrastructure nor buildings are prepared for such extreme temperatures. This underscores the broader issue of climate change's impact on regions historically less affected by extreme heat, highlighting the need for better preparation and adaptation strategies.
