Speaking on behalf of Heart Bingo Online, stylist Lauren Bulla reveals why second-hand is the key to building a summer wardrobe that looks and feels amazing. Search using keywords, fabric types, colours, and designers that you are particularly interested in. “The more you search, the more the app will feed you back things you’re likely to be looking for. “Filter the search with your sizes, this will save time and scrolling, plus the app will only show you items that align with the filters you’ve placed, meaning less time rifling through items that won’t fit, and more chances of finding pieces that fit, quicker. “If you find an item from a seller you like, go through the rest of their wardrobe and look for bundle deals to get more items for less. You’ll also save on shipping fees as they’re coming from the same place.” She added: “Think of Vinted like any other form of social media. There are peak posting times to take advantage of, such as Sunday afternoons when people are trying to shake off the Sunday scaries. If you keep an eye on their posting schedules, you can snap up the best pieces before everything gets picked over.” The best time to browse Looking up deals at opportune times is similar to when it is best to post. Lauren said: “Many consider the best posting time to be in the late afternoon into evening on Sundays. Keep an eye out for items that tend to go live during peak hours of 7pm until 9pm.” Common mistake people make when searching Lauren said some Vinted users get too specific and “end up putting blinders on” – missing out on great pieces by using keywords that are either too narrow or not quite right. She said: “If you’re shopping for festival or summer wear, start with the colours you like and the fabrics you’re drawn to. “That approach opens up a much wider range of options and often goes beyond the brands or styles you’d usually search for. “There’s no shortage of unique, interesting pieces on Vinted to suit your summer wardrobe, but you need to know how to finesse the app. Otherwise, you risk overlooking some genuinely standout finds.” Four top tips for selling clothes on pre-owned clothing apps Lauren says it’s important to make sure your items are photographed in a well-lit space that is also visually appealing. She adds: “It doesn’t hurt to curate the background a little bit. Helping to create a vibe around an item allows potential buyers to envision themselves in your world and therefore helps in determining how they’d style the items into their personal wardrobe. “This is especially useful for more unique, one-of-one, or out there items. “If there are any damages, marks, or issues with the items you’re trying to sell, be up front about that immediately. This helps establish trust with buyers, and means less risk of refunds or items being sent back to you. “It also doesn’t hurt to personalise your orders a bit. I’ve always found I’m more likely to go back to sellers after receiving a handwritten note or a nicely packaged item. The details go a long way and really matter to buyers.” Comment now
