I originally come from the North West and my parents still live in the area, so we would have a small support network, but the whole idea of such huge changes is making me anxious. Mina A) Leaving friends, routines and the life and community you’ve worked hard to build is tough, and that deserves to be acknowledged. But you’re also being offered stability, a salary you’ve earned and the chance to have real support close by. In a challenging job market, all of that matters – especially when you don’t know how long you might be out of work for if you stayed in the South East. If possible, before making your final decision, spend time in Manchester – visit schools, explore neighbourhoods and picture your and your daughter’s routine six months from now, not just on moving day.
