I’m A Celeb star in advanced talks to join The Voice UK as new coach after Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones quit

HE’S won Brit and Mobo Awards, so it’s fair to say Aitch knows a thing or two about music. Now he’s set to put those skills to the test, as I’ve learned he’s in advanced talks to become a coach on The Voice in a bid to find the next generation of talent. Emma Willis is also leaving the show due to her new job hosting Strictly Come Dancing. A source said: “Aitch is very much part of the ITV family after his time on I’m A Celeb. “Talks between him and The Voice started earlier this year and have been really productive. “The jungle showed he is more than a one trick pony and has a softer side, even as a rapper. “Now he’s keen to show off his music credentials and introduce himself to a new audience – and hopefully brings in new viewers. “Producers reckon he would add a ‘cool factor’ for the show.” Most read in TV Filming for the next series is expected to begin this autumn, with applications to be a contestant on the show closing back in May. Aitch, whose single RMB (Ring My Bell) became his 20th Top 40 hit earlier this month, will have some familiar faces alongside him if he does get the job. Expected to return as coaches are WILL.I.AM, who has been on every series of the show, as well as Sir Tom Jones and Destiny‘s Child star and former X Factor judge, Kelly Rowland.
