If Trump is a fascist, king, and authoritarian dictator, how did Democrats win control of Congress?

Nazi! Fascist! Dictator! Authoritarian! King!Those were just some of the many, many insults that liberals, Democrats, socialists, and communists hurled at President Donald Trump over the years. And they’ve been doing it for nearly 10 years. Yet, here we are in 2026, and the Fourth Reich has not been established. No monarchy was ushered in. No political rivals or opponents have been suppressed or jailed by the Trump administration. Furthermore, if one needed any further proof that those accusations were bogus, nonsensical, and the words of a group of people with a cult-like devotion to opposing Trump, the Democrats handily defeated Republicans in the midterm elections on Tuesday. The answer: It couldn’t. The liberals, Democrats, socialists, and communists relied on senseless fear and intimidation to get their political messaging through and get people to the voting booths. It is nothing new, of course. Anyone who has ever studied left-wing political movements knows that creating mass hysteria and fear is a core tenet of their tactics. DEMOCRATS CAMPAIGNED ON AFFORDABILITY. IT TOOK TWO HOURS TO SHOW IT WAS A LIE, AND THEY JUST WANT TO INVESTIGATE TRUMPBranding Trump as a fascist, Nazi, authoritarian dictator was also an integral part of this year’s political messaging. At each of the left-wing activism training events I infiltrated in October, the theme was consistent and simple: Trump is the leader of an authoritarian regime, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers are his goons and henchmen, falsely imprisoning people. Even as recently as Wednesday night, the day after Democrats pulled off a dominant election victory, the Left was holding organizational calls, discussions, and Zoom meetings — which I will have more on later in my “Infiltrating the Left” column series — warning of the dangers of Trump’s authoritarian regime.Yet, all of it was nothing more than a figment of the Left’s imagination. Trump was never a dictator, fascist, Nazi, or anything else those slurs insinuated about authoritarianism or totalitarianism. Trump is, however, an existential threat to the left-wing, socialist, communist dystopia they want to implement in the United States, and that is what frightens them more than anything. Trump was able to accomplish what no other Republican politician, president, or leader was able to accomplish, frightening the political Left more than anyone since, arguably, former President Ronald Reagan.INFILTRATING THE LEFT: GOING UNDERCOVER AND ATTENDING RADICAL, LEFT-WING ‘ICE OUT’ TRAININGSThe accusations of authoritarianism, the branding of Trump as a fascist or Nazi, and the parades and demonstrations calling Trump a king were always hyperbolic hysteria and performative fear and outrage. It was never true. Tuesday’s election results prove that. Not one — not a single threat of authoritarianism that liberals, Democrats, socialists, and communists ever warned was imminent — ever came to fruition. It was all deranged fanaticism that existed solely in their minds. Every warning of suppression, every alert about oppression, was hogwash that never had a chance of coming true. All they wanted to do was scare and manipulate people and weaponize those feelings of concern and fright to get them to support their left-wing political agenda.Now contrast the Left’s messaging, warnings, and accusations with its own actions. Look no further than the Democrats’ recent threats to weaponize the justice system to punish their political opponents. They are the very thing they claimed Trump and the Make America Great Again movement were. And that was the goal all along. Trump was never any of the horrible things the Left claimed he was. The Left just wanted to make people think he was, so it could reclaim political power.Sadly, it worked.
