Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) could be in serious danger in Coronation Street after making an enemy of Idris Nazir (Junade Khan). The day got off to a bad start for the new rivals when Carla noticed how close Idris had parked to her car, and his unapologetic attitude didn’t help at all. In fact, Idris seemed to enjoy winding Carla up. When she and Lisa Connor-Swain (Vicky Myers) came to Speed Daal to pick up their order later in the day, his snarky comments continued. ‘Idris instantly rubbed her up the wrong way,’ actress Alison King said. They got off to a bad start (Picture: ITV) Unfortunately, light teasing may not be where Idris stops where Carla is concerned. After she left, he hinted to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) that he was interested in buying the factory. Idris has set his heart on expanding his business empire, but having been unable to get his hands on the Bistro, it seems he is looking to branch into other industries. Fully aware of how important Underworld is to Carla, Leanne joked that he’d have to pry it out of her ‘cold, dead hands’. A rivalry has been set in motion (Picture: ITV) In true soap fashion, Idris’ response was a chilling, thoughtful look. Could he be considering the unthinkable?
