IDF kills Hamas battalion commander in northern Gaza strike

SEPTEMBER 15, 2026 17:39The IDF, in coordination with Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency), killed the commander of Hamas's Jabaliya Battalion in a strike in the northern Gaza Strip on Monday night, the military announced on Tuesday.The terrorist, identified as Ahmad Batash, was responsible for managing logistics for the Izzadin al-Qassam Brigades Northern Gaza Brigade and was an integral part of supplying weapons and equipment to Hamas terrorists in the region.He was actively working to "restore the terrorist organization's capabilities, in systematic violation of the ceasefire," the military said.IDF troops operate in the northern Gaza Strip to defend and clear terrorist infrastructure from the area of the Yellow Line, September 2, 2026.
