Identical twins lift lid on matching X-rated careers – and the surprising role their ‘cool’ mum has

IDENTICAL twins feared their mum would disapprove of their racy jobs – but instead she became their biggest cheerleader and even helps take some of their photos. Julia and Lauren Burch described themselves as painfully shy growing up, but now work together creating content and earn six figures thanks to their online careers. Julia, who has 2m fans on Instagram @juliaaburch, said it’s sad for the girls who don’t have that support and relationship with their parents. Sign up for the Fabulous newsletter Thank you! “I have a few friends who have experienced not having the support from their mother and it seems like it would be so difficult,” she said. “It would be hard to really have fun with what I do if my mum wasn’t supportive. “It would make my day to day a little sadder.” who were born just five minutes apart, were raised by their single mother alongside their older brother and were homeschooled throughout their childhood. The twins, who were born five minutes apart, said their 46-year-old mum raised them and their older brother on her own while homeschooling all three children. Julia added: “I honestly don’t know how she did it all. Most read in Fabulous “She has always been so supportive even at the beginning when she knew I wanted to go into modelling.” Although she dreamed of following in the footsteps of Bella Hadid, the 5ft 3in creator says she was repeatedly told she was “too short” for the modelling industry. Instead, she began building a following online – with her mum cheering her on from day one. “I started posting more on social media where my mum follows me and she was so encouraging, complimenting all my photos”, she said. “She even takes some or does some filming and knows all the best angles.” As their online careers grew, the sisters eventually launched OnlyFans – something Lauren – who has 1.9 million fans on Instagram @laurenxburch – says she never felt the need to hide from her mum. In fact, friends thought it was cool and everyone was really sweet.” The twins say their mum is the reason why they have an inner confidence and she’s no stranger to being on camera herself. Lauren said: “She has been in some of our TikToks and loves it, and she’s been on my YouTube giving her thoughts on the strange DMs I’ve received. “She has the mindset of as long as we’re happy and living our best lives, then she’ll support it. “We’re very lucky, she’s a really cool mum.” The twins also have some sage advice for any mums of children looking to explore OnlyFans. Julia said: “I understand being protective of your kids but that’s different from being controlling. “If you want the best for them, truly, then lose control because if you don’t, you’ll push them away. “Our mum was always understanding and still is. “Support them even if they do things you don’t agree with.” And Lauren says while their mum’s support means everything, there’s one opinion she values even more. “I think I feel this way because Julia and I have each other”, she revealed. “No matter what, if everyone hates me, if I have Julia by my side, that’s all I need. “If she hated my content, then I don’t think I’d be able to do it – we trust each other’s opinion more than anyone else, even our mum.” Comment now
