Ibrahim calls Kareena 'coolest stepmom', Saif credits her for making family stronger

Ibrahim Ali Khan has a special way of describing his bond with Kareena Kapoor Khan. Calling her the "coolest stepmother", Ibrahim thanked her for always being there for him during a video message played on Koffee With Karan Season 9. His words also found an echo in Saif Ali Khan's comments, as the actor credited Kareena for helping build a comfortable relationship with his children from his first marriage and bringing the family closer.The episode featured video messages from Ibrahim and his sister Sara Ali Khan, Saif's children with his former wife, actor Amrita Singh. Both siblings had warm words for their father and Kareena, while Saif and Kareena also spoke about the equation they share with Ibrahim and his younger half-brothers, Taimur and Jehangir.Addressing his father first, Ibrahim called Saif his role model and hero, but not simply because of his achievements. He pointed to the difficult moments the actor has faced over the years and said those experiences had made him look up to his father even more."Hello Abba and Bebo. Dad, you're my role model. My hero. But it's not who you are, it's more about what you have been through. High highs and then the low lows. Heart attack. Thumb injury. Knife and all that. And that's why, Dad, you're my hero. And you always will be," he said. Ibrahim's mention of the heart attack, thumb injury and knife attack referred to some of the health scares and injuries Saif has dealt with in recent years, including the attack at his Bandra residence.He then had a message for Kareena, thanking her for the place she's made for herself in his life. "And Bebo, I want you to know you are the coolest stepmother. You've always been there. So, I want to thank you. And lots of love to you, of course," Ibrahim said. When asked who should take home the episode's hamper, he picked his father without much hesitation. "Dad, I think," he said.Saif Ali Khan credits Kareena for his children's bond with herWhile Ibrahim's message offered a glimpse into his affection for Kareena, Saif also spoke about the effort that goes into keeping a blended family together. The actor credited his wife for the comfortable relationship she shares with Sara and Ibrahim, while acknowledging that everyone involved has played a part."Everyone has been really wonderful and understanding. And, of course, I would credit Kareena and credit everyone because these things work both ways," Saif said.Kareena, meanwhile, spoke about the bond Ibrahim shares with his younger brothers. She said Taimur and Jehangir look up to him and enjoy spending time with their elder brother. "Tim and Jeh love Ibrahim. They really look up to him. They love playing with him. He makes such a nice effort," she said.Sara also joined in with a video message for the couple. She described her father as the personification of "suave, swag and coolness", before turning to Kareena with a rather nostalgic reference to her childhood favourite."The combination of Kareena Kapoor and Karan Johar is basically my childhood.
