I wish them well: Karan Wahi recalls meeting ex Uditi Singh with her boyfriend

Karan Wahi has spoken about his limited contact with former girlfriend Uditi Singh since their 2022 break-up. The actor, who dated the Bigg Boss 20 contestant for more than two years, said the only time they met after separating was when she was with her new boyfriend.During a conversation with podcaster Siddharth Kannan, Karan also responded to Uditi’s comments about their relationship and discussions around marriage. While Uditi said they had been serious about marrying, Karan maintained that marriage was an intention rather than a concrete plan and said they were not compatible enough.Uditi recently discussed her current boyfriend on Bigg Boss 20. She described him as influential and said she would be “dead” if she disclosed his name. She later hinted that he was a cricketer.Speaking to Kannan, Karan said he and Uditi had barely been in contact since their relationship ended. “Uditi and I have never met after we broke up. I think in the last five years, I have received two WhatsApp messages from her,” he said. Asked whether he had replied, Karan said, “Yes. One was, I think, about some work, and the other one was about the dog she had got.”Kannan also asked Karan about Uditi discussing their relationship on Bigg Boss 20. Karan said she was free to share her experiences, but he had moved on from that period of his life. “But I think that’s her life, that’s her game, whatever she is doing inside. I have nothing to do with it. We have not spoken enough, and we have not been in touch at all for the last four-and-a-half or five years. So, I feel it is not even in my vicinity of thought,” he said.Karan then recalled his only encounter with Uditi after their separation. “You can call it luck, chance or destiny, but we have not even bumped into each other. The only time I bumped into her after our break-up was when she was with her new boyfriend. So, that’s all,” he said.When Kannan asked, “You met her with her new boyfriend?” Karan replied, “Yes, and I wish them well.”Karan clarifies discussions about marriageKaran also addressed Uditi’s account of their conversations about marriage. He said he was 33 or 34 when they began dating and had wanted his next serious relationship to lead to marriage.“I was 33–34 when I started dating her. So, I was at an age where I was like, this time when I get into a relationship, this has to materialise into marriage. Otherwise, I don’t want a relationship,” he said.However, Karan said the couple had not made concrete wedding plans. “There was nothing like we were about to get married, or we had plans to get married. I think it was the intention to take it towards marriage, which has been misconstrued as, ‘We were going to get married.’ I think we were not compatible enough. At least, that’s my truth,” he said.Uditi revisits the relationship on Bigg Boss 20Uditi recently discussed their relationship inside the Bigg Boss 20 house. She said they got a golden retriever during the COVID-19 lockdown and frequently argued over cleanliness and caring for the pet.“We got a pet during the lockdown, a golden retriever, and that led to a lot of fights. Since it was during Covid, cleanliness was a major concern for both of us. My way of cleaning was different from his,” she said.Uditi also alleged that Karan could be dominant and that some of his remarks left her feeling discouraged. She recalled moving to India during the lockdown and looking for jobs at a multinational company so that she could stay closer to him.The actor said the relationship had been moving towards marriage before it ended. “We were quite serious about dating and then marriage.
