I linked my work tools to Gemini; I barely open Wispr Flow anymore

Published Oct 5, 2026, 9:30 AM EDT I've been writing about Android since 2011, with a focus on device reviews, Samsung and Google Pixel hardware, and the latest happenings in the ecosystem. In my entire writing career, I've reviewed more than 75 Android phones. Carrying both a Samsung or Pixel flagship and an iPhone as a daily driver provides me with deep insight into how Android works and how it compares to iOS. I have been writing for Android Police since 2021, covering news, how-tos, and features. You can find my previous work on Neowin, AndroidBeat, Times of India, iPhoneHacks, MySmartPrice, and MakeUseOf. When not working, I tend to mindlessly scroll through X, play with new AI models, or go on long road trips. You can reach out to me on X or drop a mail at rajesh@androidpolice.com. By the time my last meeting of the day ends, all I want to do is close my laptop and be done with work. Instead, I spend another 30 minutes going through meeting notes to figure out the actionable items. Rereading a transcript after a long day is the last thing I want to do. That changed when I linked Gemini to Wispr Flow and my other work tools: now it finds the follow-ups, and I decide which ones belong on my task list. My meeting notes are already there The follow-ups still take work Besides using Wispr Flow as my go-to voice-to-text app on my PC and phone, I rely on its Notetaker feature to capture meeting notes. It's a relatively new addition to Wispr Flow, but it has been a game-changer for my workflow. It lets me focus on the conversation while Notetaker handles the heavy lifting, capturing ideas, decisions, and action items. The problem comes after the meeting. At the end of the day, I review all the meeting transcripts and action items. From there, I add the important tasks to Todoist, so I don't forget them and can make steady progress. This may sound straightforward, but it's not. Adding the tasks to Todoist is a headache. Rambler helps in adding tasks or ideas while I am on the go. But that won't work for meeting notes. Here, I have to switch between apps, turn each follow-up into a clear task, and make sure I haven't missed anything important. Wispr Flow does the hard part of capturing the conversation, but I still have to tediously move those notes into a task list. For one or two meetings, this may not be an issue. But after several meetings in a week, reviewing every transcript becomes a chore. Wispr Flow held my meeting notes, and Todoist held my to-dos. What I needed was something that could read the first and write to the second. A recent Gemini update solved this problem. Gemini turns my meeting notes into a task list One chat clears the backlog I connected Wispr Flow to Gemini so it can read the notes from my Notetaker meetings. Google's AI assistant was connected to my Todoist, so that was the only setup it needed. Now, when my last meeting ends for the day, I ask Gemini to go through that day's meeting notes in Wispr Flow and pull up the follow-up tasks. I go through the list, tell Gemini which ones to keep, and it adds them to Todoist. This takes only a few minutes and ensures I don't have to juggle multiple apps or worry about missing anything important. Many of the actionable items end up being email follow-ups or sharing reports I have saved in Google Drive. They are small enough that adding them to Todoist and tackling them the next day is a chore. In those cases, I ask Gemini to draft the email. It has the meeting context and access to my Google Drive, so the draft is usually close to ready to send. I still do a final check, as Gemini can occasionally get things wrong, including email addresses. Still, this is faster and more efficient than opening a blank email, finding the file manually in Google Drive, and drafting the email from scratch. I also get ready for my meetings faster Less digging, better prep The same setup works in the other direction. Before weekly or monthly meetings, I now ask Gemini to pull up relevant points and information from the previous meeting with that client from Wispr Flow. Previously, that meant opening Wispr Flow, finding the right meeting, skimming through the transcript and action items to recall everything important. This used to take at least 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the meeting's complexity. Now, I just open Gemini and write a quick prompt. Depending on the upcoming meeting's agenda, I ask Gemini to recap the previous meeting's decisions, flag any pending follow-ups, and highlight any important data I promised to share. All this helps me prepare for meetings faster than before. More importantly, I achieve this without opening Wispr Flow or any other app. Wispr Flow still takes notes, but Gemini puts them to work Credit: Lucas Gouveia / Android Police Wispr Flow still does the heavy lifting in my workflow, capturing all the important points in meetings. But connecting it with Gemini has changed what I do with those notes afterward. It has taken the part I used to dread, while still allowing me to do more with those notes than I could before. All in less time, and reducing the unwanted switching between multiple apps to pull together the relevant information and context.
