Asked to respond to the Sky Sports pundit’s remarks, the spiky Haiti star said: “I don’t know Jamie Carragher. If I don’t know, I don’t have to listen to him. “People can think about that, but the most important thing that the club showed is they kept the same players who were there last year, and that’s a big, big point from the club that people don’t realise. “We want to show everybody that last season was not a miracle and Sunderland are really strong and proud to be in the Premier League and also deserve to be in it. “We want to keep our level like that and to show that the place of Sunderland is in the Premier League and in the upper part of the ranking.” Isidor only scored six goals during last season’s magical seventh place finish having played second fiddle to Brian Brobbey for the majority of it. The 26-year-old has been restricted to two cameos off the bench so far this term – but he pleaded with boss Regis Le Bris to unleash him alongside the Dutch powerhouse when they head to Brentford next. As I say, he takes his decision, but I would be really happy to play with Brian. “I just want to score goals. I don’t set a target. I’ve got a good relationship with Brian, so that’s not a bad thing. We know that we have to fight for one spot, but now the gaffer makes the decision. “Whether it’s me or him, the most important thing for me is to be focused on my performance, on what I can bring on the team, and of course that the team wins.” One man unlikely to be part of Sunderland’s push this term is winger Jocelin Ta Bi as he closes in on a move to Championship side Burnley. The 21-year-old, who arrived on Wearside from Israeli side Maccabi Netanya in January, was not included in the squad against Fulham and looks set to switch to Turf Moor on loan. Comment now
