Pipelines dropped into Sunnam Cheruvu. | Photo Credit: Special Arrangement The Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) has unearthed several establishments drawing water illegally from Sunnam Cheruvu.In a major operation on Saturday (October 24, 2026), HYDRAA forces removed dozens of pipelines discreetly laid into the lake from several buildings at Guttala Begumpet area.The large hoses were attached to pump sets in the residential buildings on the other end, and buried under the earth to avoid detection.Using heavy machinery, HYDRAA forces excavated the pipelines and traced them back to their source points.
