A woman who had been missing for nine days was found dead in a deserted area near the 100-feet road in Hyderabad's Nagole on Tuesday, with her hands and legs missing. According to Nagole Inspector Maqbool Jani, police were alerted after a man identified as Arun, who had gone to the area for open defecation, noticed the body and informed the police.Police reached the spot, recovered the body and collected forensic evidence before shifting it for post-mortem examination.An Aadhaar card found near the body helped police establish Mangamma's identity and inform her family. Police said she had left home on September 29, telling her family that she was going out for work.She did not return, following which her family lodged a missing complaint at the Osmania University Police Station. Nine days later, her body was found in the deserted area in Nagole.POLICE PROBE MISSING LIMBSPolice said Mangamma's body was found with her hands and legs missing. Inspector Maqbool Jani said the possibility that stray dogs or other animals had eaten the limbs is being examined.Police have not yet established the exact cause or motive behind her death.
