A HUSBAND has found the remains of five dead babies hidden in cardboard boxes following an argument with his wife soon after she gave birth. The macabre discoveries were made at a house in Orange, in south-east France on Monday morning. A source close to the investigation told Le Parisien that the man took the bag the hospital, which reported the incident to police. The source told the outlet the woman had suffered three failed pregnancies before giving birth on Monday. The couple have two other living children, aged eight and twelve, beyond the newborn. It comes months after the remains of two babies were discovered in the freezer of a mans home in Aillevillers-et-Lyaumont, Haute-Saône, France. Cops launched an investigation , with officers searching for the man’s partner – both in their 50s. The mother of nine reportedly left the home voluntarily in December 2025, according to L’Est Républicain. She was arrested in February, in Boulogne-Billancourt, where one of her sons resides. And five years earlier a widower found the dead bodies of three babies in a locked cupboard while cleaning his home months after his wife’s death. The bodies – believed to be foetuses – were found in plastic bags and wrapped in clothing. The widower ,41, who has not been named, called police after uncovering the rotting baby body in a locked cabinet in his garage, which he had forced open. Police scrambled to the man’s property in the sleepy town of Mezeray, France only to find another two decomposing bodies in a shed nearby. Cops said both were found in plastic bags with kitchen knives nearby, according to new website RTL. The couple were childless while the woman had two children from a previous relationship, RTL reports. The man and several relatives were questioned by French police. Comment now
