Hurts acknowledges 'Make him a quarterback' barbs after Eagles win

Titans defender Jeffery Simmons noted that Tennessee “just need to make Jalen Hurts be a QB,” turning Hurts into a one-dimensional quarterback, restricting his mobility. Fast forward to the end of the game, the Eagles walk away with a dramatic 24-20 victory on the road. Hurts ended the game with 264 yards passing, two touchdowns, and just 16 yards on five rushes. When discussing the victory with Kristina Pink of Fox Sports, Simmons strolled up to Hurts to offer him congratulations on the victory. “You started that s--t, I had to finish,” Hurts said. When meeting with the media, Hurts acknowledged that he’d heard Simmons comments prior to Sunday’s game. In typical Hurts fashion, he said little, but let it be known that he heard it loud and clear. “I heard it,” Hurts said. When the reporter was looking for Hurts to say more, Hurts stuck with the line that didn’t say a lot but still had impact. “I heard it,” Hurts said.
