Hunkkaar teaser: Aneet Padda plays assault victim, Fatima Shaikh battles for truth

The official teaser for the upcoming courtroom drama Hunkkaar: The Roar was unveiled on Tuesday, offering a gripping glimpse into a high-stakes legal battle that challenges a powerful system. Starring Aneet Padda and Fatima Sana Shaikh, the series explores the far-reaching fallout of a single accusation made against a revered cult leader.Hunkkaar: The Roar will begin streaming on JioHotstar on September 25. Directed by Karan D Kapadia, Nitya Mehra and Heeraz Marfatia, and created by Kapadia and Mehra, the series also stars Fatima Shaikh, Arjun Mathur, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Raghubir Yadav and Ram Kapoor.The teaser begins on a haunting note, locking focus on Aneet Padda's face as her character, Meenu Rawat, introduces herself at a police station. The 17-year-old student from Mahasherni School — located within Baapji’s Shaburi Fort —recounts her harrowing ordeal, accusing Baapji of violating and assaulting her.It also shows ACP Jasleen Singh Soni, underdog lawyer Bhalerao and journalist Amitabh, pointing to three parallel battles over the same truth: on the ground, in the courtroom and in the media. The case unfolds amid questions of power, influence and public perception. Sharing the teaser on social media, Aneet wrote, "Presenting a little something I shot before Saiyaara. Hunkkaar has been a part of my journey for a while, and I’m glad to finally share it with you all.""Nahi hoga insaaf ka intezaar, bas goonjegi sachhai ki Hunkkaar," she added. Aneet's last theatrical release was director Mohit Suri's musical romantic drama Saiyaara. The film marked actor Ahaan Pandey's acting debut alongside hers.
