Human remains identified as Texas State student who went missing 6 years ago

Patti Sapone | NJ.com Human remains found in a central Texas town have been identified as a Texas State student who has been missing for six years.According to Austin ABC affiliate KVUE, DNA testing conducted by the University of North Texas Center for Human Identification confirmed the remains belonged to Jason Landry.Landry, who was reported missing on Dec. 13, 2020, was driving from his college apartment in San Marcos, Texas, to his home in Missouri City, Texas. During the drive, Landry crashed his car along a rural road near Luling.Law enforcement believed Landry removed his clothing, left his belongings with the vehicle and walked away. His remains were found Sept. 18, 2026, outside the established search area, and he was officially identified.
