Human bones ‘unearthed by wildfires’ in UK beauty spot – as cops launch probe

HUMAN bones have been unearthed in a popular beauty spot with cops treating it as a crime scene. A probe is now underway to establish the age and identity of the remains. Police were scrambled to the popular London park after the gruesome discovery was made. Local residents claim fires at Bedfont Lakes Country Park in Bedfont, Hounslow unearthed the remains after two blazes in the last couple of weeks. Sign up for The Sun newsletter Thank you! Fires burn away the topsoil which can reveal hidden items buried beneath. This means the skeleton could be historical or modern – with a crime scene now in place. A spokesperson from the Metropolitan Police told The Sun: “Police were called at 18:35hrs on Wednesday, 12 August to reports of bones being found at Bedfont Pits, Feltham. “The bones were confirmed to be human and further testing is underway to establish the age of the bones and ascertain identity. “An investigation is ongoing, and a crime scene remains in place.” London Fire Brigade did not wish to comment when contacted by The Sun Online.
