Hull boss lets slip he identified Man Utd weakness with training set-piece ground routine exposing the ‘problem’

Jakirović said: “We tried something on Friday so we had some plan there to try to punish them, how they’re standing especially on a wide free kick, to make some blocks there and we scored.” When pressed on what the plan was, Jakirović replied: “That is a secret, come on! “I don’t have a coach for set pieces. So Marko (Salatović), Anđelo (Roguljić), my assistant coach, and owner, they are doing this. This is our secret!” Jakirović joked that Hull had invested so much in strengthening their squad they had no money to air condition the revamped MKM Stadium press conference room. Bosnian and Herzegovinian Jakirović was unaware that Hull recorded their first top flight win against United in the first meeting. The charismatic Jakirović declined to elaborate on what he made of United’s shoddy performance: “This is a tricky question!
