A HUGE popstar has celebrated her album rocketing to the Number One spot in the UK charts from her hospital bed. The singer posted a smiley snap from her medical ward with her special trophy as she recovers from a deadly infection which has forced all her UK shows to be scrapped this week. Fans were quick to share her happy moment and one put: “Lost an appendix but won a number 1… like absolutely!” A second wrote: “Congrats my queen get well!” A third then put: “Writing so good u had to sacrifice an organ”. She wrote over the top of a social media picture: “I got appendicitis for my birthday everything in the UK this week will have to move but I’ll make it up to you!!!!” The singer kicked off her mini UK tour on Monday, which has seen her play at smaller venues than fans are used to. The star – who dated actor Paul Mescal from 2020 – 2022 – opted for more intimate gigs, as she is introducing fans to her album Lost Weekend, which was released last Friday.
