Huge ITV show starring Emily Atack AXED after just one series – and what it means for new Inbetweeners film

EMILY Atack could be free to star in the new Inbetweeners film after ITV ditched a second series of her game show. The actress, who played Charlotte Hinchcliffe in the Channel 4 coming-of-age ­sitcom, co-hosted “reality quiz” Nobody’s Fool with Danny Dyer. Netflix announced a third Inbetweeners movie this week with a trailer featuring original actors Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, Blake Harrison and James Buckley — with Emily not yet confirmed to be joining them. And she was expected to be rejoining Rivals co-star Danny to film the second series of Nobody’s Fool around now, as the debut series was made in summer 2025. But while her Disney+ comedy-drama Rivals was a hit, Nobody’s Fool did not have the same impact. As well as Rivals, Emily, who is mum to two-year-old son Barney, is also set to star in BBC drama Reputation. The Sun revealed earlier this year that Netflix would be making the Inbetweeners movie. It has released a preview of lead characters Will, Simon, Jay and Neil inside their famous car, the “Hawaii edition” Fiat Cinquecento, known for being yellow with a mismatching red door. It was the motor which featured in the original series, running from 2008 to 2010, and was famously driven by Simon when passenger Jay yelled “Bus w***ers!” as they drove past a bus stop. The series was followed by two films in 2011 and 2014. ITV said: “There are no immediate plans for another series of Nobody’s Fool.” Comment now
