The actor recently admitted he’s “getting tripped up” on a script he’s writing, which includes a character who is an ex-hockey player, similar to his Ottowa Centaurs captain role Shane Hollander on Heated Rivalry. “I’m writing a movie right now, but one character is an ex-hockey player,” he noted to Entertainment Weekly. “We were like, ‘But if we have this hockey player and then you’ve done a hockey show…'” Williams continued, “We’re getting tripped up on it and we’re considering other sports, but for some reason this character just made way more sense being an ex-hockey player. It’s almost like you have to bust through the prison of your own mind or construct of your own mind.” Watch on Deadline With Rachel Reid’s Game Changer novel The Long Game serving as the basis for Season 2 of Heated Rivalry, production began on the sophomore season of Jacob Tierney’s Crave Original series adaptation in Canada in August.
