But he is in no doubt things are coming good, saying after replacing owner Ken Davy: “Of course I sense and understand the antipathy towards us. Why not? I’m a Giants fan and let’s be honest. It’s frustrating. “What I can say to those people is what I’ve said to the old sponsors and the new raft of sponsors for next year as well. We’re not going to do that any more. “I feel their pain because I sit there and I feel it as well and clearly people have voiced their opinions to me and they’re entitled to do that. “As far as I’m concerned, if they’re paying to come through a turnstile, they’re absolutely entitled to do that. But we’re going in a different direction now. “I’m chair of the NGB Coalition, so I get to see all the sports in the country. For example, we’ve doubled all our commercial incomes for next year already. There are lots of really good things that aren’t visible yet, but all this work inevitably will become visible. “Ken is a great man and has moved mountains for this club. Our aim now is to give him, the sponsors and the fans a club of which to be really excited and proud.” Three questions sit at the top of the minds of Giants and rugby league fans – will they be in Super League in 2027, where will they play next year and will they get off the bottom under coach Jim Lenihan? And Rimmer admitted they are likely to be heading out of the Accu Stadium, telling SunSport: “I can see why people say we’re taking credit for other people’s work but we used to sit on the stadium board and were part of the decision making. “But there’s no animosity between these two clubs and I think the money that the football club is putting into this club is great.
