How To Watch ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’

In the immortal (a.k.a. you saw it in a meme) words of Tim Robinson, there’s a new Marvel out that’s supposed to be nuts. Here’s what you need to know to watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day in theaters and streaming on the web. This is the fourth Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland as Peter Parker, though it weirdly feels like an origin story. Thanks to the global memory-wipe spell that happened at the end of Spider-Man: No Way Home, Peter has something that very few Marvel heroes have, especially in the MCU: a secret identity. While he works with characters like Bruce Banner/Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), Yelena Belova/Black Widow (Florence Pugh), and the Punisher/Frank Castle (Jon Bernthal), they don’t know who he is. Even his BFF Ned (Jacob Batalon) and former girlfriend MJ (Zendaya) only remember being saved by Spider-Man, not who’s under the mask. It’s a lonely life for ol’ Peter Parker, which unfortunately makes for a very good movie. Angst! Brooding! Inner conflict! We love it, even from quippy heroes like Spider-Man.How can I watch Spider-Man: Brand New Day today?Spider-Man: Brand New Day hit theaters on July 31, 2026 sooo get to stepping! See it now and gasp at all of the reveals–that you definitely did not get spoiled–in a crowd of Spidey fans. Watching the movie in premium formats is a little tricky, given that Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey (which also stars Holland, Zendaya, and Bernthal) is still dominating the IMAX game. But there are still fun options like Dolby, 4DX, and Real-D available for your movie-going experience.Add Cosmopolitan as a preferred source in your Google search results.Use your Google account to add this to your settings.BUY TICKETS NOWWhen & where will Spider-Man: Brand New Day be streaming?Given that the movie already seems to be a hit, and the superhero factory kind of needs a win right now, it will likely be a while before Brand New Day hits streaming. They’re going to try to keep this one in theaters as long as possible. Using the last Spider-Man movie as an example, let’s try and crunch some numbers. No Way Home was available on PVOD three months after its theatrical release on March 15, 2022 and started streaming in July of that year. So we’ll likely be able to rent Brand New Day at home in October and stream it in early 2027.Now... the where is a bit more complicated. Since Spider-Man movies are co-productions between the Marvel Studios (a.k.a. Disney) and Sony Pictures, new movies are not automatically sent to Disney+ like the rest of the MCU’s offerings. Instead, after an initial PVOD release you’ll be able to stream Spider-Man: Brand New Day on Netflix thanks to a new streaming deal, per Variety. Then, after that’s been an option for about 18 months, the movie will join the others on Disney+ in perpetuity.Seriously, Spider-Man: No Way Home just got added to Disney+ this year. So while you’ll be able to watch it at home soon; you just won’t be able to do a movie marathon without switching apps for a year or two.
