It's a bit unexpected for a game like this to have multiple endings, or even a formal ending at all, but it does. Since your repairs themselves won't really factor much into the ending you receive, you'll want to pay attention to your responses to the people that visit your shop. At times, you'll have the opportunity to do something for free, look the other way, and even invite people over, and all of these interactions will play a role in determining how the story unfolds and the ending you get. The Good Ending: Rock For The Ages! To unlock what is considered a good ending, you'll want to make sure you interact with the people who visit your shop, help people out when you can, and complete repairs for those who ask. Showing good values and empathy with your decisions encourages the NPCs to open up to you a bit more and expand on the story. Though not part of the ending, there are also three different NPC character routes to enjoy for Kaito, Baketsu, and Haruhi. Each one is tied to its own achievement, and their stories are mutually exclusive, so you'll only be able to invite one to stay with you per playthrough. If you're planning to unlock both endings, it's worth choosing a different person each playthrough to save yourself time. This will ultimately lead to a moment when you're given the option to sell your shop and donate all the funds to the concert to stop the mega mall from opening. Though sad, this is the right decision. After you mention selling the shop, you'll be forced to hand over the keys, and the day will end. The next day, you'll be thanked for your contribution, which made the concert possible, and told that the registration claim went through, and no malls will be built in Akiba anytime soon. Additionally, your shop was bought back for you, and everyone helped get all of your stuff back! After several conversations where you'll receive life updates from everyone you've gotten to know, you'll receive a notification that you have beaten the game and helped Akiba retain its charm. You're now a local legend and may continue running the shop as you see fit in the sandbox mode for achievements, but nobody will be stopping by anymore. All is good in Akiba. The Bad Ending: Globalization Once you reach the aforementioned part of the story where you have the option to sell your shop to save the concert, you can also opt not to help with the concert and let things with the mall's construction proceed. You will be asked to verify that this is what you want by saying that mega malls are the future and, again, refusing to sell your shop. This results in a bad ending, which will unlock the Globalization achievement. In this ending, you weren't the hero of Akiba and didn't save the concert or stop the mall from being built. You'll receive the Mega Mall Storefront 02 Rental Agreement, and your rent will now increase to 5,000 Yen. Needless to say, this is an outcome you'll only want to see unfold for the associated achievement.
