How To Unlock Lacra's Romance Scene In The Blood Of Dawnwalker

Published Sep 7, 2026, 6:00 AM EDT Although Kaitlyn grew up with a passion for both video games and writing, she never imagined she'd eventually combine them into a career. Now, with several years of experience in the industry across Guides, Features, News, & Reviews, Kaitlyn enjoys nothing more than continuing to deep dive into the games she's passionate about and share her findings with readers. In her downtime, Kaitlyn enjoys unwinding with her favorite horror films, despite being a major scaredy-cat. By now, you've likely already met your first two romance options in The Blood of Dawnwalker, Anca and Crake, but there's one more romantic companion you haven't met yet. Lacra is Coen's only Vrakhiri romance option, and they don't exactly get off to the best start. During one of Coen's trips to Svartrau City, he'll hear stories about something damaging the city's rooftops. After a little investigating, it turns out that the damage was caused by Lacra, a Vrakhiri hauling a Uriash through the city for an interrogation, and she's not thrilled about being interrupted. A Friend Like This It goes without saying that since Lacra is a traditional Vrakhiri and not a dawnwalker like Coen, you'll only be able to complete her quests at night. After you follow the clues that lead to her location in Svartrau City, you'll interrupt her during an interrogation. Since Lacra is more of a punch-first, ask-questions-later kind of woman, she'll give you little time to explain before attacking you. After you manage to win the fight, she'll finally settle down and listen to what you have to say. During this conversation, you'll have an opportunity to take over the interrogation to spare the Uriashi any more of Lacra's brutality and get the answers she needs. For this scene, select: "Gladly, but we will actually talk." ↓ "I need to know how to get to your village." ↓ "You have my word." ↓ "You're not killing him." Lacra will concede to your decision since you got the information she wanted, and you'll now have a quest with Lacra to head to the village of Uriash in the mountains. Keep in mind that you can romance more than one partner in The Blood of Dawnwalker without consequences. Song Of The Mountain This is the first quest where you'll have the opportunity to get to know Lacra a bit more, though don't be surprised that she's not all that different from your first impression. Lacra is short-tempered and strong-willed and doesn't take kindly to too much prying, so while you can try to get information out of her, she'll only be forthcoming when she wants to be. At the start of this mission, Lacra will insist that the two of you fill your stomachs before you head up the mountain. You don't have to agree, but if you want to be on her good side, agree to drink the camper's blood. Afterward, you can be honest about not enjoying it, if you want, and it will have no real impact on her opinion of you. Once you reach the village, the Uriashi will understandably be mistrustful of two Vrakhiri and begin throwing rocks at you. Lacra will be ready for violence immediately, but you can choose to take the hits without retaliating. For this scene, choose: "All right, fine." ↓ "Lacra, calm down." ↓ "Nobody needs to die" ↓ "Can we stop with the hostilities?" ↓ "We've already proven it." ↓ "What more proof do you need?" ↓ [Do nothing] When you've passed the test, the elder will welcome you into the village and to her hut to speak. The elder will tell you where to look for Isbrand, your Vrakhiri grandpa. The elder will also ask you to do something for her and find her daughter, who has fled the village, and her responsibilities. From here, you'll complete Hive and Seek to find Isbrand, but this quest leaves little room for romance and mainly centers around fighting enemies and rescuing Isbrand. Rotten Roots Once you have Isbrand back at Lacra's hideout, you'll be able to start the next quest. You will have to wait a day before the quest appears since Lacra needs time to think about what to do next, but then you can return and finish it. Lacra will tell you that Isbrand unfortunately won't get better in time to give you what you need to deal with Isbrand, so the two of you will need to drink his blood and go to Anachora, which is also sweetly known as Vrakhiri hell. When you arrive, you'll pass through some of Isbrand's memories while also periodically fighting off waves of enemies. Eventually, you'll reach an area where Lacra makes a point to tell you to head right and ignore the left path. If you attempt to go down it anyway, she'll try again to deter you, but ultimately let you do this one alone if you insist on going, which you should. This optional route will lead you to a memory in which you'll watch Lacra be tortured by Isbrand and Brencis, to teach her a lesson. It's horrific, as you can imagine, so when you return to Lacra, you need to make a point to apologize for going there and for what you saw. Continue with Lacra until you reach the scene with Brencis you're looking for, after which you'll have a boss fight with Isbrand and the option to let him in. Lacra will explain that this process allows the Vrakhiri to avoid being lost in hell, but that you'll essentially have a little companion living in your head from this point on. Your decision won't impact your romance, so feel free to select what speaks to you. Though if you select to let Isbrand in, you will get occasional dialogue from him while completing tasks. This will complete your time in Anachora and conclude this quest. The Night Of Horrors Lacra's final quest that leads to her romance is actually somewhat easy to miss entirely. After your last quest with her, Lacra will be ready to face Brencis, and you can initiate it by speaking with her. However, if you go to talk to her, you'll also have an option to hear more about her plan, which will reveal a final quest tied to her. As part of this quest, Lacra will lead you out to the swampland to follow some wisps. Although you're on a quest, you can still accidentally trigger encounters with other enemies, so try to avoid them as much as you can. If you do anything to progress the time beyond night, you won't be able to complete the quest, since it will auto-fail. You and Lacra will follow the wisps while exchanging sad stories about your lives, so the goal here is to listen when Lacra is speaking and be honest when it's Coen's turn. After some time, you'll reach what you were looking for, the notes of an ancient Vrakhiri. However, there's something even more exciting at the end of this trek, at least in Lacra's eyes: a Mandrake. Lacra's Romance Scene Lacra will become unnervingly excited when she spots the Mandrake. She won't elaborate much at the moment, but the Mandrake will essentially give Coen the Mandrake Ward ability in the skill tree, which can only be unlocked right here, right now. It is also the only way to watch Lacra's romance scene, so if you've come all this way for it, you don't want to turn down the opportunity now. Coen will bite it first and then Lacra, and the two will become a bit drunk on power, leading into the romance scene. Compared to Crake and Anca's romance scenes, Lacra's romance scene is longer and far more intense. Since both Lacra and Coen are complete with claws and fangs, both will play a part in this scene, and there will be plenty of slapping, scratching, biting, and blood. So, if that doesn't sound like something you're interested in, you may want to sit this one out. Otherwise, enjoy what is certainly the spiciest scene in the game. Once it's over, Coen will wake up in the same spot by himself, with Lacra nowhere to be seen. At this point, you can join her to take on Brencis whenever you're ready, and if you choose to do it with her, but otherwise you should consider this a night of passion and nothing more. This will conclude any romance you believe to have with Lacra.
