Some of the games George has extensively covered first-hand include Dead Rising, Dragon Ball: Sparking Zero, Assassin's Creed Shadows, and Ninja Gaiden 4. One of the main strengths of Castlevania: Belmont's Curse is how much more effort it puts into the story, which follows newcomer Rose Belmont on her first quest against Dracula and his minions. Just like previous Castlevania games, Belmont's Curse actually lets you have some input on how the story comes to a close, which is all dependent on how much of the game you complete. Here's what you need to do. Bad Ending Perhaps unsurprisingly, the easiest ending to see in Belmont's Curse is also the worst. The fittingly named Bad ending can be unlocked just a few hours after you reach Dracula's Castle. Before you enter, you'll be tasked with defeating Isaac (The Zealot) and Carmilla (The Occultist). While you're supposed to go for Carmilla to progress the story, heading towards Isaac leads to a trap. Isaac is located right at the top of the Clock Tower, and once you get close to his location on the map, a cutscene will play in front of a magical clock called the Cursed Horologium. You'll be warned not to go any further from here, and if you choose to ignore your allies and keep moving forward through the door on the left, Rose will eventually end up face to face with Dracula. A cutscene will then play where Rose loses to Dracula, kicking off the game's bad ending, awarding you the Belmont's Fall trophy/ achievement, and placing you back before the ending to get a better outcome. You'll at least unlock a cool character skin for Rose once you've got the bad ending, so it's not a complete waste of time. Normal Ending To reach the Normal ending of Belmont's Curse, you have to get through the Cursed Horologium's trap, which is hinted at if you interact with it and hear Rose mention Death's magic. This should clue you in that you need to equip Death's Arcana, Soul Harvest, and then interact with the big clock to clear the path forward. You'll then have a pretty challenging platforming and enemy gauntlet on your path to the real fight against Dracula, leading to a two-part boss battle that is one of the game's toughest encounters. If you defeat Dracula here, you'll unlock the Normal ending and "The hunt goes on" trophy/achievement, which hints that things aren't quite as wrapped up as they could have been. True Ending Finally, there's the True ending, which will unsurprisingly take more time to unlock. Once you've defeated Dracula, choose to resume with all of your gear so you're not starting fresh. The main focus of the True ending is to cure Rose's curse, which means getting all four of the virtue blessings in the Gallery of Four Virtues area in Notre Dame as part of The Cursed tarot. Each of the four blessings presents Rose with a challenge to complete, but to even be able to access them, you'll need to equip specific Arcana for each blessing. Courage requires you to equip Infernal Pyre, while Temperance needs Freezing Path. Justice unsurprisingly requires Chains of Justice, and then finally Prudence needs Mirror Walk. That means you'll need to have completed The Sage, The Judge, and The Whisper Tarot cards. They're basically the side quests of Belmont's Curse. Once you've beaten all four virtue trials (Courage is the hardest since it's a full-on battle with a powered-up Joan of Arc), you'll be able to interact with the glass in the middle of the same room. This kicks off a fight against Rose's doppelganger, who is another incredibly tough fight that you'll want to be completely levelled up for, or turn to Custom Mode if you're really struggling. Once you've beaten Rose's shadow, you'll unlock The Self Tarot, which has one of the most powerful magic abilities in Belmont's Curse and represents Rose getting over her curse. After that, just head right back to Dracula and take him down to see the game's True, and much happier, ending and netting you the "Curse lifted" trophy/achievement in the process.
