Automatically unlocks during the game's story. Reliving A Nightmare Complete New Game Plus (any difficulty). Automatically unlocks once you complete a single New Game+ playthrough on any difficulty and reach any ending. For St. Amelia Reach the “Justice” ending. This is 1 of 3 endings that can be reached during an initial playthrough. To unlock it, try to avoid killing enemies when possible while also exploring and discovering St. Amelia. Note that this is considered the game's "good" ending. Here To Stay Reach the “Forever” ending. This is 1 of 3 endings that can be reached during an initial playthrough. To unlock it, try to balance the number of enemies killed with the number of discoveries made. Note that this is considered the game's "neutral" ending and is the most difficult to unlock since it requires careful tracking to achieve a balanced playthrough. Just Making Things Worse Reach the “Abandoned” ending. This is 1 of 3 endings that can be reached during an initial playthrough. To unlock it, kill more enemies and discover fewer documents and clues. Note that this is considered the game's "bad" ending. Let’s Talk This Out Reached the “Dog” ending. This is 1 of 2 joke endings that are exclusive to New Game+. To unlock this one, you'll need to keep an eye out for three dog statues that will each have a coin near them. Once you find the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Coins, you'll be able to unlock the Dog Ending in Part 6. Sci-fi-lent Hill Reached the “Sci-fi” ending. This is 1 of 2 joke endings that are exclusive to New Game+. To unlock this one, you'll need to find three Strange Books and a Strange Access Card during your playthrough. This card then needs to be swiped at a door in Part 6. The books are found in Part 1, Part 4, and Part 6. The card is found in Part 2, after entering a button sequence on a door in the hotel that matches the Strange Postcards you found during your initial playthrough. Fleeting Visit Finish the game in under 4 hours. The easiest way to achieve this is in a New Game+ playthrough after unlocking the Pistol-3000, which allows you to barrel through enemies. Make sure you also remember puzzle solutions so you'll be able to breeze through those areas. Cold Calling Call all the phone numbers found in St. Amelia. There are 13 Phone Numbers, and you won't find any beyond Part 4, so if you wrap up Clara Woods and still haven't found all 13, you've missed one. Just make a point to read documents and don't forget to call them. Observation Collect 50% of all documents. To unlock this achievement, you'll need to find about half (42) of the 85 documents and clues in the game. This one should be easy to unlock if you're exploring a fair bit, but finding 100% will require extremely thorough searching. This carries across playthroughs. Thorough Inspection Collect all of the documents. There are 85 documents/clues in Silent Hill Townfall, found throughout all 6 parts of the game, and you'll need to find them all to unlock this achievement. This carries across playthroughs. Blur Your Eyes Collect all of the strange postcards. There are 15 Strange Postcards, and all of them can be collected on the initial playthrough. However, they are off the beaten path, so you will need to explore to find them all. These are necessary to unlock the Sci-Fi ending in New Game+. Sweeping Signals Tune into all signals on the CRTV. To unlock this achievement, you need to tune the CRTV to every signal in the game. This should be easy enough since the CRTV is exclusive to Simon. You'll also hear a sound cue each time a new signal is available. Future Hardware Obtain the Pistol-3000. This unlocks as part of the Sci-Fi ending in New Game+ and can be used in subsequent playthroughs. It has unlimited ammo and the ability to one-shot enemies. Here’s Simon! Obtain the Axe. Found at the beginning of Part 1, but only in New Game+. This is a reward for completing an initial playthrough. From Scratch Create 20 new items by combining others. This is a relatively easy achievement to unlock, as you should regularly be combining resources in your inventory to make better healing items. Creative Process Kill at least one enemy with Plank, Pipe, Pistol, Shotgun, Flare Gun, Bottle, and Brick in a single playthrough. You'll come across all of these weapons naturally during your initial playthrough, so if you want to unlock this achievement, make sure you swap weapons and use each one on at least one enemy. This must be done in a single playthrough. Long-Range Masonry Hit any enemy in the head with a brick from over 15 meters away. You'll begin encountering bricks after the distraction mechanic is introduced in the game, so all you need to do to unlock this achievement is throw one directly at a distant enemy instead of at a wall to distract them. Pinpoint Inaccuracy Land a headshot on any enemy with the Flare Gun from over 10 meters away. Like the previous achievement, this one simply requires that you shoot an enemy with a flare gun from a bit of a distance. As mentioned in the description, this also needs to be directly to an enemy's head. Missing The Point Entirely Silence 30 Widows. This can be unlocked during Part 5: Richard, where you'll need to kill 30 Widows. Pull! Throw a bottle into the air, and shoot it with the pistol. As stated in the description, you'll need to throw a glass bottle and shoot it before it lands. Obviously, you'll need to wait until Simon has acquired the Pistol first, and you'll want to throw the glass bottle almost straight up. I'd make a manual save right before doing this, so you don't waste the bullets or attract unnecessary enemies. That way you can load the save once the achievement unlocks. Isolating Experience Wait in a hiding spot for 60 seconds. This can be unlocked at any point in the game. All you need to do is hide in a designated hiding spot, like a closet, for at least 60 seconds. Static Distractions Distract 10 Enemies with a radio in the world. As you make your way through various areas, you'll encounter radios that can distract enemies. The first one I remember seeing is in the Medical Center as Zoe, but you'll notice them frequently throughout the game. Distract a total of 10 enemies across the game to unlock this achievement. This will carry over into other playthroughs. Lured Off Track Distract 20 Enemies with a bottle. Starting in Part 2: Zoe, you'll begin finding glass bottles that can be thrown as a distraction. Do this 20 times throughout the game to unlock this achievement. Alarmingly Effective Successfully distract an enemy by setting off a car alarm. To set off a car alarm and distract an enemy, you need to hit it. That said, I'd recommend using a throwing item instead of a melee weapon, so you're not standing right next to it. Reject The Help After meeting Richard, do not use a phone to save the game. This is pretty straightforward. Say goodbye to manual saves after Simon finishes his first phone call with Richard in Part 1. Autosaves do not count; just be mindful of when they're happening so you know when to end a play session. Resourceful Unlock all resource containers. Resource containers are small lock boxes that require keys throughout the game. The keys are often found nearby, and you often have to return to the box after finding them. There are 7 in total. Save It For The Patients During the missions “Rounds” and “The Patient”, don’t use any healing items. These missions/chapters are Zoe's section of Part 2 and Part 3, during which she checks on a patient in St. Amelia and then cares for a surgical patient at the medical center. Complete both of these sections without using any healing items. Doing The Right Thing (PlayStation Only) Unlock All Trophies This is the platinum trophy for PlayStation, which will automatically unlock when you unlock your last trophy, whatever that may be.
