She has a particular fondness for Yakuza/Like a Dragon and Final Fantasy, especially Final Fantasy 14 (for which she used to run a weekly community column). There are only ten achievements to unlock in Shift at Midnight, but three of them relate to the different endings you can unlock depending on the decisions you make in-game, and you'll need to complete the game three times to unlock them all. If you want to know how to unlock every achievement and how to get all the different endings, we've got a complete breakdown right here. Good luck staying alive in the store, and watch out for doppelgangers! How To Unlock All Achievements Achievement Info Guide First Blood Kill Your First Customer Unlock by killing a customer with the gun for the first time. Still Breathing Survive Your First Hunt If you fail to identify and kill a doppelganger, the entity will appear at the end of your shift. The entity will also always appear on a blood moon (when there is red rain). You need to survive your first hunt with the entity to unlock this. Silenced Kill a Shrieking Doll These can appear from the second shift onwards alongside entity attacks. They are little babies that crawl on the ground and shriek to alert the entity to where you are. Kill a Shrieking Doll for the first time to unlock this. Freed Kill a Demented These appear from the sixth shift onwards alongside entity attacks and can only attack and move when you are not looking at them. Kill a Demented for the first time to unlock this. If you set traps at each door, you will likely kill them before you ever see them (and this does count towards the achievement). Last Performance Kill a Marionette From the ninth shift onwards, jack-in-the-boxes will begin to appear alongside entity attacks, and you need to kill a Marionette for the first time. Usually you want to rewind the box before it finishes the song for the third time to avoid the Marionette coming out, but for this achievement you need to let the song play out and actually kill the Marionette. The more damage you deal to them, the faster they move towards you. It takes a lot of firepower to take down, like the Flamethrower. Relentless Finish a Hunt Within 30 Seconds This is more easily achieved near the start of the game when the entity doesn't have any adds, so you could purposefully fail to identify doppelgangers on your first night and just unload your gun into it as quickly as possible. Locked And Loaded Purchase all Melee Weapons & Fill Out the Weapons Arsenal Use the store tab on the PC to purchase all the weapons, both guns and melee weapons. Empty Home Let your Pet die in exchange for Clyde's life If you do not have the $250 needed for your vet bill on your twelfth shift, do not call Clyde, and you will unlock this achievement. Grave Decision Let Clyde die in exchange for your Pet's life If you do not have the $250 needed for your vet bill on your twelfth shift, call Clyde to visit the store on your 13th shift, and you will unlock this achievement. True Ending Keep both your Pet and Clyde alive To unlock the true ending, you need to have earned $250 personal funds by your 13th shift so you can pay for your vet bills; this does not include your earlier pet bills. Do not call Clyde on the 12th shift and pay your vet bill to get the ending where both your pet and Clyde survive. Ensuring you're not accidentally killing any humans to maximise your profits is important for this, but if you're really struggling, then you can choose to serve all doppels and humans alike to make the most amount of money, knowing that you'll have to battle it out with the entity each night. The more you earn, the more the store earns too, so you can deck the store out with the best traps and weapons.
