Marvel Tokon: Alternate Costume Color Unlock Guide Published Aug 7, 2026, 10:43 AM EDT Collin is a Guides Staff Writer at TheGamer who has been writing guides for nearly ten years. He is also a professional game/level designer. More importantly, he's still waiting for a new Ape Escape game to release. Marvel Tokon is the latest fighting game from developer Arc System Works that pits some of the comics' most iconic villains and heroes against one another. Boasting a roster of 21 fighters, each character has multiple alternate color schemes that are callbacks to their storied histories. However, not every additional color option for this roster is available right away. There are a total of four alternate colors that players can unlock, some of which are easy to obtain while others will require a bit of work. Here's what you need to know to unlock all these extra cosmetic additions so you can fight in style. Keep in mind that, at the time of writing this, Color 07 has not been discovered by the community. It's currently unknown how to unlock it. Once the method for obtaining it has been discovered, we will update this guide ASAP with the info you need to get Color 07. How To Unlock Color 05 To unlock Color 05 for your characters, you will need to complete the Episodes available for each of the five teams. Completing an Episode will give you access to Color 05 for all the fighters on that team. For example, if you finish the entire Samurai Outriders Episode, you will only get Color 05 for Loki, Deadpool, Ghost Rider, and Blade. Episodes take around 90 minutes each to complete and increase in difficulty as you complete them. Don't fret if you are struggling; the strength of the CPU can be lowered a few times after you lose to them. This can make things a little easier for those who are new or less experienced with the fighting game genre. How To Unlock Color 06 As for Color 06, you can unlock this by winning 10 matches in the Casual game mode. This is the standard online mode where you will battle another player, and the first person to win three matches will claim victory. You will need to do this ten times, and it doesn't matter which characters you use or if you lose a bunch of matches in between. Simply winning 10 Casual matches total will unlock Color 06 for the entire roster, regardless of whether you have used that fighter or not at some point. This is obviously all easier said than done, as you'll be playing against real people who generally understand the ins and outs of a game like Marvel Tokon. If you're new, I recommend practicing and learning some combos on your character of choice before deciding to dive into the Casual mode. How To Unlock Color 08 Speaking of learning how to play, to unlock Color 08 you'll need to complete both the Action Check and Combo Challenge in the Character Lesson mode. These serve as introductions for each of the fighters, with the former walking you through the basics of that character while the latter tests your skills with a series of combos you need to correctly input. Each character in the roster has their own individual Action Check and Combo Challenge to complete. Finishing one will not count for the others and only unlocks Color 08 for that character. For example, if I complete all the challenges on Carnage, I will get the Color 08 skin for him and him alone. Additionally, you do not need to finish the Level-Up Missions. These do not unlock Color 08, so if you're solely trying to obtain this cosmetic, these can be left completely untouched if you want. How To Unlock Color 09 Finally, to unlock Color 09, you will need to purchase the Ultimate Edition of Marvel Tokon. There is no other way to unlock this costume color, so if you want to obtain it, you will need to pay either $100 if you don't own the game or an additional $15 if you've already purchased Marvel Tokon. Along with some additional outfits for characters such as Iron Man, Storm, and Doctor Doom, you'll get the Animated Chromatic color for every fighter.
