Mistfall Hunter is the perfect blend of souls-like and extraction genres, where you can choose from six distinct classes. Once you're in the game, you can embark on raids where you constantly fight enemies. You also have a chance to encounter other players during these raids, which makes things a lot more challenging. Generally, it's recommended to pick one class in the beginning and learn it fully, as this will make you better at the game and give you one reliable build. Though you'll eventually want to try out other classes or different builds on the same class, which is why you need to get more character slots using this method. How To Increase Character Slots When you start your journey as a Mistfall Hunter, you get up to three character slots by default. However, you can't make a new character or get more character slots until you reach level six with your first class. Once you reach this level, talk to Dew and she'll unlock the camp and the upgrade system. With this system unlocked, you can upgrade the Gyldenblod Pool using varying items and Gyldenblod. This pool can be seen in the middle of the camp right in front of Dew, and it can be upgraded up to level nine. Apart from the three initial slots, you unlock an extra character slot when the pool reaches levels three, four, five, six, seven, eight, and nine. This makes ten the maximum number of character slots that you can have after full upgrades. Keep in mind that each character slot shares the items in your warehouse, but has its own separate level. This means that you'll have to upgrade all your slots to level 12, which is the maximum level in the game. There are two ways to change your character or class in Mistfall Hunter: You can create a new character after getting the extra slots through the Gyldenblod Pool. This resets your level but keeps the warehouse items. Or you can head over to Dew and switch your class using 1,000 Gyldenblod. This can be done once every hour, and you keep your levels for the new class since it's in the same character slot. You can also revert to your original class for free during this hour, but you don't get the Gyldenblod refunded. To make a new character entirely, head over to the main menu by pressing Esc on your keyboard and click on the Select Character option on the bottom right. This takes you to the character screen where you can click on the "+" icon to make a new character from scratch including their customizations and class.
