If you're thinking about playing Aniimo, you may be intimidated by its online-only multiplayer game environment. After all, while playing a game with friends or random players can be fun, sometimes it's also relaxing to just progress at your own pace, not worry about weekly raid nights, and most of all, not to be forced into multiplayer. Well, we've been playing Aniimo for a good while, we played solo and with friends, and we have some thoughts to share. In this guide we'll give you eight tips on how you can progress through the game without relying on other players. Focus On Your Core Path Similar to what we said in our Beginners Tips, you should definitely focus on the Core Path because it's the one thing that's keeping you from progressing. By finishing the Core Path, not only will you raise your level cap, but you'll also unlock everything the game has to offer. Fortunately, every task in your Core Path is completely soloable, so you shouldn't have any trouble going at it alone at your own pace. Capture Prismana Aniimo Whenever You Can Prismana Aniimo are, arguably, the most powerful Aniimo in the game currently, but getting them is tricky. Whenever there is a boost on a particular Wild Surge, we urge you to take advantage of it. Don't forget, since you aren't sharing your world with other players, your Prismana levels on Wild Surges can't really drop, so again, do them at your own pace. Prismana Aniimo will make those late-game encounters a breeze. Invest In Your RV And Homeland If you're planning to play solo, you're going to need a way to be self-sufficient, and your RV farm is one of the best ways to achieve that goal. While it starts off very slow and, somewhat, boring, if you invest time and resources into your RV, you'll eventually have it produce things like Aniipods, Evolution Items, and even act as a second hatchery for your Aniimo eggs. So, take a bit of time each day, invest in your RV, and enjoy the extra resources it brings. One of the things solo players might feel intimidated by is the Star-Crossed Tea Party (Café event). Each day, around evening hours (depending on your time zone), players are encouraged to visit the main city café and simply mingle around, preferably, to chat with other players. By doing this, you will get Voxel Coins and Stamps. The truth is, you don't really have to do any of it. Each day you can earn your Voxel Coins and Stamps without sending a single message. In fact, all you have to do is stay in the café for about half an hour. You'll see other players there, sure, but very few people will actually want to talk. In fact, we only even managed to speak with two people, and even then, they seemed more interested in just claiming their reward and getting back to capturing Aniimo. So, if you want to get the rewards from the social event, just head for the café, take a seat and leave the game running for a while. Heck, you can even make and enjoy an actual coffee while your character is earning the Voxel Coins and Stamps. You Can Play Egg Heist Alone Egg Heist is the multiplayer-only game mode you unlock after achieving rank III Wayfarer (when your level cap is 55). This is supposed to be an extraction-shooter PvP game where players work together or on their own, to claim and extract Aniimo eggs before other players do. Like many extraction shooters, you are at the risk of being defeated by other players and having all your items stolen from you. If you're doing a group game of Egg Heist, you're supposed to communicate with other players and work together to safely extract Aniimo Eggs. The harsh truth is: even if you queue up and expect to work as a team with other random players, most of them won't be willing to cooperate. In fact, we've almost come to expect that as soon as a team Egg Heist match begins, each team member will go their separate ways, and completely ignore the rest of the team. Thankfully, the enemy team always does the same, so Group mode is more like going solo, except not all players are your enemies. So, if you're worried about being forced into a voice channel with your teammates, don't be. Most likely, you'll be on your own, provided you even want to partake in Egg Heists. If You See A Lumen Amber, Stop And Pick It Up Lumen Ambers are one of the most important resources in Aniimo. They give you XP, provide a fun distraction from your main objective, but most importantly, they can give you permanent quality-of-life unlocks which make the game easier. When you find enough Lumen Amber, you can infuse them into the Breeze Plains branch, which can unlock passive stat buffs, improve your Aniimo capturing rate, help you change the weather, help you spawn Prismana Aniimo faster, and more. So, if you see a Lumen Amber, pick it up. It will make your solo gameplay more enjoyable. Holo Battle Interlinks Can Also Be Done Solo Holo Battle Interlinks are considered end-game activities and are meant to be done in a group . . . and yet, players have found ways to do them solo. It takes some serious preparation and usually a very specific team of Aniimo, but Holo Battle Interlinks can definitely be done on your own. These will likely be the most challenging parts of the game if you attempt to do them solo, but if you're up to it, go for it. Even if you do them in a group, most players probably won't talk to you, so just ignore them as you're destroying those Holo Battle Interlink Bosses. Consider Purchasing The Companion Handbook Advanced Edition If you want to keep your game exclusively solo, but still want to complete your Aniimo collection, you're going to have to buy the Premium Companion Handbook (paid battle pass). Currently, there is one exclusive Aniimo (Prismana Fulmintis) which you can only get by reaching level 20 on the premium tier. The devs have said that, in the future, there will be a way to join other players (who already own this Aniimo) and capture it in their world, so if you'd like to avoid this, the Companion Handbook Advanced Edition is your only bet.
