How to open the Nameless Ruins chest in Final Fantasy Resonance

When you approach the chest, however, you get a riddle with little guidance as to what it means — and the statue next to you is of no use. Yet. You'll need to make some progress in this dungeon and complete a few steps in the right order to open the chest, but the prize inside is worth the hassle. Below, we explain how to open the Nameless Ruins chest in Final Fantasy Resonance and what you get inside. How to open the Nameless Ruins chest in Final Fantasy Resonance When you first examine the chest, you see this riddle: "First, a broken sword pierced the sky, bringing light. Then, a withered horse was laid to rest, becoming the land. Finally, darkness once sealed was unleashed, cleaving day from night." The first nouns at the start of each sentence are the key here — sword, horse, darkness. There are three statues in the Nameless Ruins representing these things, and you need to examine them in that order: sword, horse, darkness. Note that you are not looking for an actual sword or horse statue. All the statues look the same, but have a different description when you interact with them. The one next to the chest is darkness, so it's no use to you initially. The other two statues are further in the dungeon. The broken sword statue is at the end next to the save point, so you'll have to defeat the disembodied voice's two test monsters, the Iron Giant and Liquid Flame, before you can access it. The horse statue is on the ground floor across a gap. You can reach it by taking a staircase on the western side, just beyond the room where you fought the Liquid Flame. Go back to the dungeon entrance after that, examine the darkness statue, and you can grab the treasure at last. You get Tyr's Armor for your trouble. It's a sturdy set with: 159 physical defense 93 magic defense -38 speed That speed stat might seem ominous at a glance, but how detrimental it is depends on your builds and who gets the armor. If you rely on a character acting first in combat for some reason, then definitely don't give them this set. If not, you can mitigate the speed issue in a few ways — casting Hastega on the party or slow on the enemy, for example, or using Rain's Unity skill. Tidus' Haste Opener passive lets the character begin combat with haste active, so you could just slap that on your slow fighter and not even have to change your rotation. If you missed Tidus or need other Visions to round out your party, keep our list of Final Fantasy Resonance Visions handy so you never miss one. We've also got recommendations for the best Visions to use and a handy table showing where to find every Esper summon in the game.
