Kate, 47, starred alongside Matthew McConaughey in the 2003 romantic comedy and according to Variety both stars could reprise their roles in the new film. Kate played journalist Andie who targets Matthew’s character, advertising executive Benjamin, for an article on how to get a man to leave her in 10 days. Meanwhile Benjamin bets his boss he can make any woman fall in love with him and sets his sights on Andie. Matthew recently called the movie “my favourite romcom I’ve done” and revealed it still makes him the most money out of his entire back catalogue. Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, he said: “How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days is the gift that keeps on giving. “I think it’s probably my favorite romcom I’ve done. Most read in Showbiz “And it still pays the best mailbox money of any film I’ve ever done. By far. By lengths.” He added: “But, the movie for me, for that genre, let me just own that genre.
