How to have the best sex at EVERY age… from the Pretzel move in your 20s to the ultimate OAP libido-boosting bucket list

THERE’S a whole world of sex to explore – and a lifetime to discover it. This month, our explosive summer sex survey revealed that more Brits than ever are craving adventurous sex, with one couple telling us how they’ve become even wilder in later life – and have their very own OAP sex bucket list. Carron Burley and her husband Ray revealed their bucket list as part of The Sun’s sex survey Credit: Supplied The Sun’s resident Sexpert Georgette Culley has shared her top tips to create your own saucy wish list, whatever your age Credit: Olivia West Part-time model Carron Burley, 59, and her husband Ray, 71, a builder, from Sheffield, South Yorkshire, revealed their wish list includes making love on a mountaintop, donning kinky lingerie and visiting a nudist beach. And they’re not alone. More and more have a lusty wishlist – and it could be the key to great sex. Whether you’re in a long-term relationship, flying solo or experimenting with new partners, Sun Sexpert Georgie Culley has created the ultimate sex bucket list for every decade. So, which ones have you got on yours? SWINGING TWENTIES Your twenties are all about discovering what you like – and don’t like between the sheets. Without the responsibilities that often come later – such as kids and mortgages – you’ve got more freedom to experiment. Ethical non-monogamy is increasingly popular among Gen Z – with sex parties attracting a younger crowd. If you’re curious about the scene, check out kinky apps such as WAX and Feeld, where like-minded people can come together, as it were. It’s also the perfect decade to get to know your own body. Invest in some good sex toys and explore your body, with or without a partner. Want to spice up a date night? Try a couple’s egg remote-controlled vibrator and let your man take control while you’re out for dinner. Your fellow diners will want what you’re having! Best sex position for your age: the Pretzel. While you’re young and more agile why not try the Pretzel? The woman lies back while the man kneels on top. She wraps one leg around his waist and the other underneath him, just like the twisty sweet treat. This is great for hitting the spot, as it were. DIRTY THIRTIES By your thirties, many of us are settling down with a partner and starting families. But that doesn’t mean your sex life has to become predictable. One easy way to reignite the spark is to have sex in a new environment. Book a hotel and experiment with role-play. Meet at a bar and pretend you’ve never met before, enjoy flirting all night before dragging them back to your hotel for a dirty ‘one night stand’. If you have children, rope in the grandparents and book a sexcation. There are plenty of adults-only resorts where you can escape the daily grind, relax in the sun and reconnect as a couple. Our survey found 70 per cent of Brits say sunshine puts them in the mood for sex, so why not try sex on a beach or – even if you’re feeling really brave – in the sea? Best sex position for your age: The Lotus . One partner sits cross-legged while the other sits on their lap, wrapping their legs around the torso. This position is great for stressed out parents who want to reconnect, bond and control the depth of penetration. It’s also great for eye contact, which is a huge turn on between the sheets. Relationships can end, children become more independent and suddenly there’s an opportunity to rediscover yourself. The most common age for divorce is in the mid-forties, with ONS data showing the highest number of divorces occurs between 45 and 49 for men and 40 and 44 for women. If you’re newly single, there’s no need to rush into another serious relationship. This can be the perfect time to have fun and work out what you really want. Killing Kittens founder Emma Sayle tells me sex parties are particularly popular with women in this age group, including single mums yearning for escapism and to reconnect with their sexuality. If you’re coupled up, recreate that “just met” feeling. Try keeping a sex diary and swapping it with your partner, writing down your favourite memories and fantasies – and then bring them to life. You could also watch an erotic film together. Female pornographer Erika Lust has plenty of X-rated movies focused on female pleasure. Not only is it incredibly hot watching something naughty with your partner, but you can discover some new moves too. Best sex position for your age: The Flatiron. This position puts a cheeky spin on Britain’s favourite – doggy style. She lies face-down with her knees slightly bent and hips raised, while a pillow under her pelvis can add extra support and comfort. Her partner kneels behind her, allowing for a different angle and deeper penetration. Add a helping hand, literally, or use a vibrator to stimulate the clitoris, upping her chances of orgasm. This means you’ve suddenly got more privacy, more time and far fewer interruptions. Take sex out of the bedroom to mix things up. Try getting busy in the living room or the shower – just make sure you’ve got a good non-slip bathmat, there’s nothing sexy about a trip to A&E! It’s also the perfect time to embrace more spontaneous sex and the excitement of a quickie – even better if it’s somewhere unexpected.Audio erotica and dirty talk is another trend worth trying. Women are turned on by audio cues, research shows. And don’t underestimate the power of feeling sexy. Clear out tired old lingerie and treat yourself to something that makes you look – and feel – incredible. Want to turn up the heat? Experiment with temperature play using erotic massage candles. If you really want to ramp up the romance, tie your partner up, pop an eye mask on them and pour warm wax all over them before giving them a sensual massage. Just make sure you agree on a safe word before you unleash your inner Christian Grey. Best position for your age: Swinging Cowgirl Fancy chandelier-style sex without risking life and limb? Clever sex furniture can help couples get adventurous at home while taking the strain off aching knees and joints. One partner sits comfortably in the saddle or harness, while the other stands or positions themselves in front. It’s a playful way to mix things up and explore different positions without putting too much pressure on your body. Your sixties and beyond can be just as thrilling – and potentially even better – than your twenties. By this age, you know yourself inside out and aren’t afraid to ask for what you want. It’s also a great time to try something completely different, such as tantric sex. The focus is on slowing down, taking the pressure off performance and enjoying intimacy through touch, kissing and connection. Try spending just ten minutes together before bed – or go all out and book a tantric retreat. Sexual wellness retreats are also having a moment this summer, with everything from libido-boosting treatments to swinging in the sun. But if a retreat isn’t in your budget you could also spice things up at home. Try gardening together in the buff, research shows vitamin D can help boost your libido and put you in the mood for love, just make sure the neighbours aren’t watching! Best position for your age: Standing Lotus. Taking sex out of the bedroom is essential for keeping things exciting. The man sits on the edge of a sturdy chair or the couch. Facing them, the woman wraps her legs around his waist. This is a great, supportive position for those in later life but still feels adventurous and fun.
