How To Get Weapon Mod Slots In Star Wars Zero Company

More importantly, he's still waiting for a new Ape Escape game to release. You will want every advantage you can scrounge up to survive the dangerous galaxy of Star Wars Zero Company. Battles can be difficult, and with death being permanent, losing key operators can be a huge blow to your playthrough. Thankfully, you can even the odds by altering your blasters with weapon mods to ensure better stats for your gear. While this mechanic is easy to overlook, weapon mods are extremely powerful and are something you should be regularly engaging with throughout all stages of the campaign. Here is everything you need to know about weapon mods, how to use them, and where you can get more. What Are Weapon Mods? Weapon mods are items you can attach to blasters to give them unique abilities or enhance the weapon's attributes. This goes beyond simply improving a single stat and can provide effects such as increasing the damage of a blaster after each successful hit in a turn. Since you are limited to just four weapons throughout the entire campaign, weapon mods will be your main way of tailoring them to specific operators. There are a total of four weapon mod categories (Barrel, Cell, Scope, Stabilizer), and you can only have one mod from each category equipped at a time. Meaning, you cannot equip two Scopes to a Repeater, so having a diverse collection of mods across all categories will ensure you can fully deck out your blasters as you unlock more weapon mod slots. Additionally, there are four rarity tiers for weapon mods (Basic, Superior, Exquisite, and Exotic), with the former being the most common and the latter being quite rare. For the vast majority of the game, you will largely rely on Superior and Exquisite tier gear as those are the usual rewards for completing Missions or Operations. How To Equip And Get Weapon Mods To actually equip weapon mods, go to the holotable room in The Den and head towards the Armory in the back right corner. Interact with the table, select the weapon, and pick "Equip Mods" on the left side. From here, you will be able to pick from one of the four blaster types, as well as which operator is using them. Keep in mind, mods you equip on one operator's blaster don't immediately transfer to another operator using the same type of blaster. Mods can only be used on one operator's blaster at a time, so if I have a Type-K Ergonomic Stabilizer equipped on Trick's weapon, I cannot use that same mod on another operator's gun. You can see which operator is using which mod by their portrait icon on the mod screen, and there's no cost to equip or unequip a mod from a weapon. Because of this, I recommend freely swapping your best mods around for the operators you're planning to use during a mission. Remember, you can also access the Armory in the operator selection screen right before a mission. Just click on the operator and select "Open Armory" to bring up that specific character's weapon and the mods on it. When it comes to unlocking weapon mods, you have a few avenues to amass a collection of upgrades for your blasters. Before we get into any specifics, here's a quick overview of all the ways you can unlock weapon mods. Complete Operations Complete Missions Buy from the Black Market Zone Rewards Your main avenue for amassing more weapon mods will be purchasing them from the black market. Every cycle, a new collection of utility items and weapon mods will become available, so make sure to check it after every single mission. The store can be further improved by increasing the number of items it sells and the general rarity of gear via the Den Facility upgrade system or through specific Zone rewards. I recommend upgrading your black market as you progress through the story, as the higher-tier mods can really help with some of the game's tougher fights during the latter half. Just remember, mods aren't cheap, so consider picking ones that can be universally effective across multiple operators and not just one. For those who are broke, your main way to obtain weapon mods will be through Missions and Operations. Weapon mods are a fairly common reward and typically drop at Superior rarity. While this isn't ideal, it will still give you access to a decent collection you can use to further enhance all of your operators' blasters. Finally, when you start the game, you will be limited to only one weapon mod slot per blaster. This can be expanded to up to four weapon mod slots, allowing you to equip one mod from each category at the same time. Here is how to unlock the three remaining weapon mods slots in Star Wars Zero Company: Build the Additional Weapon Mod Slot node in The Den's Crew upgrade menu Zone Forn Tier 3 Reward Pick the Modification Attachment option during the Underworld Intel Choice Operation. The first (and easiest) way to get an additional mod slot is to improve your Den to Level 4 and then build the Additional Weapon Mod Slot node. This will cost you a couple of thousand credits, but it's definitely worth the price given how strong an additional mod slot is. Another method is to just gain enough influence to unlock the tier 3 reward for Zone Forn. Maxing out this zone's influence will instantly reward you with an additional weapon mod slot for your entire crew. Finally, the last way to get a weapon mod slot is through choosing the Modification Attachment option during the Underworld Intel Operation. This won't trigger until much later in the game and will give you the option to pick between either another utility slot or a weapon mod slot. Picking one will lock you out of the other for that playthrough, so make sure you consider what your operators need more before committing. There's no way to walk this choice back, so be careful with what you pick!
