Life under the sea in Subnautica 2 is no fun if you don't have a place to call your own, and to do that you're going to need to find the fragments for the Habitat Builder. This tool lets you start to build your dream underwater base, with tunnels and hatches and grow beds galore. To get any of the tools in Subnautica, you'll need to find fragments of them dotted around and scan them. This will unlock the crafting recipe at your Fabricator and allow you to craft them. This is the location of every Habitat Builder fragment we've found so far - and there are a few of them! All Habitat Builder Fragment Locations Here's a full list of all the Habitat Builder fragment locations I've found so far. These are the two easiest to find. Welcome Center This one is the easiest to find as it is located just next to the entrance of the Welcome Center, the first large point of interest you'll discover as you explore just south of your lifepod. This is where you'll also unlock your first passives, like a dash and an ability that preserves oxygen while staying still. Underneath The Welcome Center You will find the second Habitat Builder fragment underneath the Welcome Center, in the room with the main terminal. Just drop where the Oyxgen Tunic is, and you will find it inside a small container. How To Craft A Habitat Builder You can craft a Habitat Builder at your Fabricator in the life pod, for which you'll need Quartz, Copper, and a Basic Battery. Quartz can be found inside the large coral domes, whereas copper is found inside caves and underneath rocky openings. You can find a Basic Battery at some of the research stations dotted around or craft your own using acid. Once you've crafted it, you'll gain access to some basic building blueprints like a corridor and hatch. Use these to establish your first home on Proteus, and install a new Fabricator to access improved crafting recipes.
