Renown is a Part 1 progression system in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. Every path has 12 Renown ranks, and the most reliable way to raise them is to complete quests, check for new meetings with gods each week and engage with your protagonist's route-specific Renown activity. The basic rules are shared across all four paths, but Cai, Theodora, Dietrich and Leda each have a different primary way to earn enough Renown to reach Rank 12. What Does Renown Do? Raising your Renown level unlocks new features and eventually awards additional rewards. The exact progression differs slightly between paths, but you can inspect the next unlocks while playing. There is therefore little need to memorise a separate reward table for every protagonist. Check the visible Renown track whenever you gain a level, then concentrate on the activities that move it forward. Renown only applies during Part 1. It is not a system you need to continue farming during the later parts of the game. Every Way To Get Renown Three Renown sources are available regardless of which path you chose: Complete quests. Quests award the largest amounts of Renown and should be your first priority whenever new ones appear. Defeat enemies on the world map. Ordinary encounters provide smaller gains, but repeated battles gradually add up. Meet new gods and goddesses. Look for a small dot on the fast-travel screen. Newly available gods can provide Renown when you meet them, with new opportunities appearing each week. The smaller sources are worthwhile because they accumulate alongside your main objectives. You do not need to clear every possible encounter immediately, but ignoring them all can leave you short of the final ranks. The weekly meetings are the easiest source to overlook. Open the map/fast-travel screen in Dagsion and look for locations marked by a small dot, which signals a god or goddess you can meet. These meetings do not provide as much Renown as major quests, but they require little effort and become available over time. Make checking the map part of your weekly routine, especially before advancing the story or ending a period of exploration. How To Get Renown On Cai's Path Cai's principal advantage is simple: he has far more quests to undertake. Since quests are already the largest universal source of Renown, completing his growing quest list naturally pushes the Renown track forward. Prioritise newly available quests, then supplement them with god meetings and any world-map fights that sit conveniently along your route. Cai should not require a specialised grinding routine if you keep up with his quest log. How To Get Renown On Theodora's Path Theodora receives resource requests from Bonaventure. These requests encourage you to explore and collect materials, then exchange the requested resources for Renown. They are especially efficient because they also provide money and other rewards. Explore thoroughly, retain resources that appear useful for outstanding requests and return to Bonaventure regularly rather than leaving several requests unfinished. Normal quests remain your largest shared source, while weekly god meetings provide easy supplementary progress. How To Get Renown On Dietrich's Path Dietrich can effectively summon additional enemies onto the world map, giving him a repeatable source of Renown through combat. The drawback is that each battle provides only a small amount. Maxing Renown on this path encourages substantially more fighting than the other routes and can require more combat than you would otherwise need for story progression. Clear quests first so you receive their larger rewards. After that, summon and defeat extra enemies when you need to close the remaining gap to the next rank. Continue checking for weekly god meetings so that you do not make the combat grind longer than necessary. How To Get Renown On Leda's Path Leda earns a large share of her Renown through performance quests. Treat these as her route's central progression activity rather than optional side diversions. Complete new performances as they become available, while also clearing ordinary quests and meeting newly marked gods. Keeping up with performances throughout the path is more efficient than leaving a large Renown deficit to address near the end of Part 1.
