How To Get Jae And Trick To Return In Star Wars Zero Company's Main Story

Star Wars Zero Company: How To Get Jae And Trick Back As Operators Published Sep 1, 2026, 2:05 PM EDT In Star Wars Zero Company, you might think that the only way you can lose a companion is to the ever-looming threat of permadeath. However, that is not the case, with scripted moments in the main story resulting in two of your party members leaving Zero Company. In two separate main story moments, you will lose access to two companions: first Jae, and then Trick. The good news is that both Jae and Trick can rejoin your crew later in the story. Just so you make sure you don't miss your opportunities, here is how you can get Jae and Trick back on the squad in Star Wars Zero Company. Jae will leave your party in Star Wars Zero Company as soon as you have reclaimed her planet of Luunata. This happens during the main story mission: Behind Enemy Lines. Behind Enemy Lines is an unavoidable mission. No matter what you do, Jae will always leave your party one cycle after the mission has been completed. This means you can take her out for one more side mission before she heads out. Afterwards, you will find a note from her where she usually stands in The Den. You can get Jae back, but you will only get your chance after a key story moment, which I will touch on below, and then spoil for the rest of this guide, since it feeds into why Trick is gone too. Major spoilers for Star Wars Zero Company ahead, and for the rest of this guide.Jae will only be re-recruitable some time after Order 66. For me, it kicked off on Cycle 28. After enough time passes, you will get a message from Jae. This will give you access to the mission You Can't Go Home Again. This is an optional mission, and you have two cycles to complete it before it's skipped over. Once you've beaten You Can't Go Home Again, Jae will return to The Den as a fully functioning Operator once more, giving you access to all of her abilities. How To Get Trick Back In Star Wars Zero Company Trick will leave your party in Star Wars Zero Company right after Order 66, in the mission Stillwatch. As a Clone, Trick will be compelled to carry out Order 66. This means Trick will always turn on the party, even if you have him as an active squad member. One of your objectives during this mission is to defeat Trick. For the maximum amount of active operators during Stillwatch, do not have Tel and Trick in your party. Tel will be added automatically after a cutscene, and Trick will always turn hostile. Don't worry, defeating Trick in Stillwatch does not kill him. Instead, after the mission, you will be able to see that he is in the base's bacta tank, and dialogue will reveal that he is in a coma. Proceed through the main story as normal. You will eventually unlock the mission Deep Cover, which I got on Cycle 29. This is a main story mission, so you can't miss it. During this mission, Rex will mention that some of the Clones have managed to remove the chip inside of them that made them carry out Order 66. They will take Trick from the bacta tank and give him the same operation. After the mission has been completed, a cutscene will play, showing Hawks reunite with Trick - who is now decked out in commando armour! He will now remain in your party as any other operator, with his old abilities.
