By the time you begin to find Ancient Civilization Cores in Palworld, you're likely pretty well into the game and have begun inching into the late-game content. Plenty of the building recipes you unlock in the Technology menu as you reach the game's upper levels will begin to require rarer and rarer materials, and one of those will be Ancient Civilization Cores. Though they don't drop naturally in the world from any Pals you might stumble on, you'll still need plenty of Ancient Civilization Cores once you begin unlocking certain Technology recipes using the Technology Point. Ancient Civilization Cores become available from the Astral Frost Cavern onward, which will require you to have cleared the PAL Genetic Research Unit Tower to access. You'll then see yourself earning more Ancient Civilization Cores on Pal Expeditions as the difficulty level increases. Defeat Raid Bosses Another thing you'll obtain from your expeditions in Palworld is a series of tablets, which will allow you to summon a particular boss pal when you use it at the Summoning Altar at your home base. The Pals that reliably drop Ancient Civilization Cores upon defeat are: Bellanoir, Bellanoir Libero, and Blazamut Ryu. Each of these Pals will also drop a slew of rewards, including edible items, lotuses, accessories, and more, all on top of the wealth of Ancient Civilization Cores they offer up on defeat. These fights can be repeated as many times as slabs you've got, so it's a good way to grind for Ancient Civilization Cores in Palworld 1.0. Other Ancient Civilization Core Locations The only other place we've found Ancient Civilization Cores in Palworld 1.0 so far is on the Rayne Syndicate Oil Rig, which is a level 55 stronghold for the Rayne Syndicate floating out in the sea south-east of the Marsh Island fast travel spot, to the east of where you began the game. This doesn't seem to be a guaranteed drop, but fighting your way through the Rayne Syndicate here may yield some Ancient Civilization Cores in the treasure chests. You can also use the Artifact Recycler once you've unlocked it to turn scrap from the World Tree into usable Ancient Civilization Cores.
