If you're reading this, chances are you're trying to upgrade your equipment to max level in Onimusha: Way Of The Sword. Whether or not you've finished the game doesn't really matter. What does matter is that you need a bit more Malicite Mass in order to finish upgrading your Gauntlet, and you just can't seem to find any. Well, we are here to help. The game doesn't really explain it well, but there is a way to find extra Malicite Mass after you've finished the game and all side-quests. Where To Find More Malicite Mass? You can find extra Malicite Mass by following the reddish-black smoke in Eastern Kyoto. Simply find a nice vantage point (we like to look from one of the bridges), and spot the smoke. These appear in places where you've previously absorbed Genma Rifts. Head to wherever the reddish-black smoke is, fight the Genma, seal the rift, and collect your Malicite as well as Malicite Mass. A Byakue can also appear, and you can get more Byakue's Talisman this way How To Spawn Another Genma Rift After you seal a rift, you'll notice that there aren't any other reddish-black smokes in the distance. Not to worry. Simply save your game, exit to the title screen, load your game and find a new smokescreen. You likely won't need to do this more than a few times in order to maximize your gauntlet. How Many Malicite Mass Do You Need To Fully Upgrade The Oni Gauntlet? To upgrade your Oni Gauntlet to max level, you need a total of 30 Malicite Mass from level one to level five. You'll also need 55 Malicite (the regular kind), 34 Byukae's Talismans, and 22 Dohatsu Ten's Horns. You'll get most of these through natural progression except for the Byukae's Talisman, Malicite and, obviously, the Malicite Mass. Hopefully, this will help you get ready for the final boss.
