How To Complete The Happy Mask Shopkeeper Quest In The Ocarina Of Time Remake

More importantly, he's still waiting for a new Ape Escape game to release. There's quite a lot to do in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Along with the main quest and dungeons, there are a number of side quests you can complete. One of these is tied to the Happy Mask Shopkeeper, who is looking for someone to help him sell his wares. Only available in the past, here is everything you need to know about who to sell the masks to and what you get for your troubles! Happy Mask Shopkeeper Walkthrough To start the quest, you will need to first be child Link and will need to progress through the story until you have beaten Dodongo's Cavern. Once that's done, go to Hyrule Castle Town and go into the newly opened Mask Shop to the right of the Hyrule Castle entrance. Speak to the Happy Mask Shopkeeper inside, and he will explain that he needs someone to help sell his masks. Each time you sell a mask, you will return to the shopkeeper to get a new one. Unfortunately, each mask has a very specific buyer, so it's easy not to know who to sell them to if you're not talking to everyone. Additionally, this can only be done as Young Link, so you'll need to go back in time if you never completed this quest before going to the future. Sell The Keaton Mask The first mask you get is the Keaton Mask, which conveniently can be sold to the guard in Kakariko Village. Head to this town located in the northeast corner of Hyrule Fields. Once in the town, go north all the way up the steps to the gate that leads to Death Mountain Pass. Equip the Keaton Mask and talk to the guard standing by the gate. He will offer to buy the mask from you, explaining that his kid will love it. Agree to sell it to him for 15 Rupees and then return to the Happy Mask Shopkeeper. He will take 10 of the Rupees you just earned, leaving you 5 Rupees that are all yours. How magnanimous. Sell The Skull Mask Your next mask is the Skull Mask, which will be sold for 20 Rupees. However, on our way to getting rid of it, we can actually snag a Deku Stick capacity upgrade as well! To start, you will need to make your way all the way back to the Lost Woods. From the Kokori Forest entrance, you will want to go Right, Left, Right, Left, Left. Following this path will lead you to a meadow where two Business Scrubs will attack you. Deflect their attacks with your shield, then go to the back of the meadow near the wall and drop a bomb at the cracked grey spot on the ground. This will blow a hole open that you can drop into. Stand on the podium while wearing the mask to trigger a brief cutscene of all the Deku Scrubs admiring your mask. Then approach the larger one and talk to him to obtain the Biggest Deku Stick Bag. With that out of the way, time to get rid of the Skull Mask! Head back out of the hole and reset the Lost Woods by going through the wrong entrance. Then, re-enter the Lost Woods and go immediately left through the first door. Before you sell the mask to the Skull Kid, make sure to play Saria's Song for him to earn a Piece of Heart! In the next area, you will find a lone Skull Kid standing on a tree. Equip the mask and step onto the tree stump to catch the Skull Kid's attention. Speak with him and agree to sell the mask. Unfortunately, he will only pay you 10 Rupees before vanishing. Return to the Happy Mask Shopkeeper and pay him 20 Rupees to gain access to your next mask. Sell The Spooky Mask Take the Spooky Mask from the shopkeeper and make your way back to Kakariko Village. This time, go to the Kakariko Graveyard during the daytime to find a young boy walking around the tombstones. Put the mask on and speak to him. He will exclaim how much he loves the mask and will request to buy it from you. The boy will spend 50 Rupees, so head back to the Happy Mask Shopkeeper and give him 30 Rupees, netting you 20 Rupees from the transaction. At least the kid isn't a cheapskate like the Skull Kid!`` Sell The Bunny Hood The last step of this quest is to sell the Bunny Hood to someone running around Hyrule Field. You may have noticed this man during your journey, as he will run around the perimeter of Lon Lon Ranch during the day. You will need to stop and talk with him while wearing the mask either during his run or when he is resting in the field at night. While his route is fairly lengthy, I have found that this man almost always appears out front of Hyrule Castle during sunset. Wait around until the sun is about to set, and you should see him coming from the west. Run up to the man with the hood on and speak with him to sell it for a whopping 200 Rupees! Once you've sold the mask, return to the Happy Mask Shopkeeper and talk to him. He will be thrilled with your progress and will tell you that you can rent any mask you want for free. To start, he will give you the Mask of Truth, which, when worn, will allow you to actually talk to Gossip Stones instead of hearing them tell you the time. As a bonus, you can return to where you got the Biggest Deku Stick bag in the Lost Woods with the Mask of Truth. Step on the stage again, and you'll earn a Deku Nut capacity upgrade!
